Chapter 4

Shawn Locke It had been an hour since I got on the flight. I didn't want anyone to know where I was going but since Jonathan and I live together, I had to tell him that I'm going. I'm pretty sure they are busy in their little moment but I texted him anyway. He'll at least check it later. Something came up and I'm having to go away for a month. Congrats on your engagement, buddy! I quickly texted him before boarding the flight. I didn't want to ruin their moment and time. But I needed time for myself, away from them. I need to move on from Stacy at any cost. She's gonna be someone else's permanently and I need to get my s**t together. *** It's been 4 hours since my flight landed. I checked into a hotel and laid down on the bed for a while. My body was exhausted from everything. It's been forever since I had time for myself and I didn't know what else to do, honestly. My stomach growled, pulling me out of my thoughts. I let out a heavy sigh and searched for good restaurants nearby on my phone.  I headed to a cafe nearby. It has been opened recently apparently and I am so damn hungry. I didn't care for anything, except for my clothing. I had to make sure that no one notices me. If not, the media won't leave me alone. I wore a beanie and sunglasses to cover up my face and walked to the cafe. It was only 5 minutes away and I wanted to enjoy the weather outside. As soon as I reached the cafe, I quietly walked over to a table near the glass window and looked outside. I was lost in my thoughts again... I'm doing that a lot now... a waitress came by my table to get my order. I didn't bother to think or look at the waitress. I just told her to get today's specials and she left immediately. She came by again in 10 minutes with my order. "Your order is here, sir. Would you like me to get anything else?" she asked. The waitress's voice was different now. It was not the same as the previous one. This one was so much sweeter and her perfume caught my breath. I couldn't help but take a look at the waitress. Holy s**t. This girl is the most beautiful girl I've ever laid my eyes on. She looked so innocent, cute but at the same time, she was hot. I don't think anyone would look hot in an apron but she did. My gaze went to her beautiful deep brown eyes, who was starting to get a little uncomfortable. "Are you okay sir?" she asked in her sweet voice.  I cleared my throat and shook my head as I realized that I was staring at her like prey. "Oh.. um.. sorry. I'm good. Thanks." With that, the waitress left. I couldn't help but keep looking at her. I would look at her every chance I get while eating my food.  I heard someone call Gabriella and she left immediately. So, her name is Gabriella. Nice. And, I don't know why but she seemed very familiar.
