CHAPTER 2

223 Words
A light skinned black haired guy sat on a small wooden chair. At the middle of the room, there was a small bed with a brown haired lady lying lifeless on it. He slowly pressed his hands against hers and placed a soft peck on her forehead. A solitary tear trickled down his cheek. If only he had known on time. If only he had know of her true identity, if only......he pressed his hands against his lap as more tears gave way. His teary eyes caught sight of the Bright light coming from the window. It’s almost dawn, he had to go but he couldn’t leave her like this, not knowing if she was dead or alive. He placed his right palm on her forehead. Her body was still warm, that should be a sign of life right? He breathe a sign of relief. Seeing her beautiful sleepy face, he wanted to stay back but it would scare her waking up to see a stranger beside her and worst a stranger covered in blood. He reluctantly stood from where he sat and walked to the door. He turns to take a look at the sleeping beauty, a smile crawled on his face. He slowly turns the door knob and pushed the door open. He took another glance before walking out of the room.
