Elizabeth Summers After getting rejected by Adam in front of most of our classmates Patti went to hide in one of the spare bedrooms upstairs. When I got there she was sitting on the daybed with her head in her hands. As I closed the door behind me her head shot up and I could see the tears trailing down her face.
