MORNING

I woke up with mom sitting on my bed,“Good morning mom”,I said while’s stretching.She didn’t reply,she just got off the bed and knelt down with tears dripping from her eyes,“I know that it is very selfish of me to ask you this as your mother but please marry the man your dad chose for you,I am begging you in the name of God”,mom said amidst tears.“How could you ask such a thing from me mom,I know that you have to obey whatever your husband says boy can’t you see up for once because it is my future we are talking about mom”,I said whiles getting up from the bed shocked by what she asked of me.Because for once in my life,I can’t make my mom’s wish come true,I’m sorry mom,I thought to myself.“Please Kimi,your father had vowed to marry Nina off instead of you bail out from the arrangement because he cannot afford to break of this alliance”.Mom said crying.“What!How could he?Doesn’t he have a heart at all",I asked rhetorically.Mom held my legs with head bowed crying profusely.I knew without a doubt that my dad can do it because that man is the the devil’s advocate.I also know for a fact that I will never be at peace is I let my little Nina marry at such a young age.“No,never,I would never forgive myself.I would gladly take a bullet for her sake because she is mi vida(my life) and I always considered myself as her mother and saving her form dad’s claws because mommy isn’t brave.I have to do this,I must do this,for Nina”,I thought to myself.“where is he,mom?I asked boiling with rage.“He is in his study room”,she answered.I took my gun from my drawer and dashed out from my room.I could hear mom calling my name but I ignored.When I got to the study,I saw him working on some papers and I shot right above his head and I know for a fact the he felt the chill air that came with with and even lost a few hairs.He got up from his chair frightened.“Don’t worry,it was not meant to kill you”,I said inching closer to home whiles blowing the smoke from the tip of my gun.“Are you nuts,"he asked.I laughed heartedly seeing how scared he was.“Im here for one thing and one thing only,I accept the proposal but on one condition,I said pointing the gun at him.“What do you want”?he asked with a breaking voice.“I want custody of Nina and I want her to follow me into my marital house ,ie,she becomes my daughter by law”,I said looking straight into his eyes.“I don’t think.."he tried to give an excuse and I shot him a deadly stare.“I will work on that",he finally said.“Better”,I said and retrieved my gun.As I got to the door,I looked at him and I saw fear flinch in his eyes.“He is in my shadow now”,I thought and grinned at him.I went to meet mom the same position I left her.“Is that how you are going to send your first born off in marriage”,I said faking a smile.She got up and hugged me immediately those words left my lips.“Thank you Kimi”,she said hugging me tighter.“I am going for a stroll”,I said pulling away.I went to the front of the house and started running towards the small room beside the back door.*panting* OMG,I can’t breathe.I tried gasping for air bout I still couldn’t breathe.I tried the breathing exercise that I learnt but I still couldn’t breathe.“Think of good memories,think of Nina”, told myself.I don’t even know why I still get these because I thought my mind was used to disappointments by now.There is no hope so why do I have difficulties in breathing when I get another hit.I hope no one saw me,I am no more the scared little girl waiting for daddy,I am a grown woman now.I entered the house after I was fully okay only to gong Nina I front of the house.“Sis Kimi,come and play with me”,she said with puppy eyes.“okay Nina but I have a question for you,would you like to stay with me only where there will be no mommy or daddy,just me and some uncle that you will meet later”,I asked her and knelt down to be the same height as her.“Of course sis,I want to go everywhere you go because you are my favorite person"?she said and I hugged her tightly and also gave her a kiss on the cheek.“Now let’s play……

DAY OF WEDDING 👰

My wedding day came faster than I anticipated.Can I even call it marriage because I don’t know anything nor do I even know my supposed husband’s name,all I know is that he is filthy rich and powerful.I called Lauren to come and help me get dressed.“Are you sure you still want to go with this black dress”,Lauren asked.“Of course Lauren,I want to make a statement at this wedding”,I said whiles brushing my hair.“Kimi,hurry up,they are almost here!Mom shouted from the hall.I wore my a black laced mermaid gown features a stunning silhouette that elegantly hugs my body and flares out dramatically at my knees. The bodice is intricately designed with delicate black lace, showcasing a subtle floral pattern that adds a touch of romance and sophistication.The gown's neckline is a sweetheart shape, accentuating the collarbone, while the lace extends over the shoulders, creating cap sleeves for a vintage-inspired look. KIMI’S POV

As I saw my reflection in the mirror,I could see no emotion on my face.I decided to go with a black dress because that is what shadow represent and as long as I am in my element,it means I am in charge and everybody has to play by my rules even future hubby.I started grinding wickedly.“What are you thinking about?Lauren asked.“Oh nothing,I was just wondering how future husband is like",I lied.“Come on,let’s go”,she said,held my hand and led me to the hall,when we got there,there was soo many people present.I saw mom coming close to me,“Let’s go dear,it’s time”.As we were approaching,all eyes turned towards our direction and I could hear their whispers.“I like the whispers”,I said in my head.I went to sit at the high table which had an extra chair which I know is for future husby.Dad came with a another good looking man but he is old,maybe dad’s age.“Oh God,I hope this is not my husband”,I thought.“Dear,this is Gerald Manikovisk,your father-in-law”,he said.“Thank God”,I said lowly as I heaved a sigh of relief.“Wait,what!Did he say Manikovisk,as in the most dangerous mafia family to exist.OMG,this man really hates me because why on earth will he give me to the Manikovisk,wait,wait,don’t tell me…..”.Before I could finish my thoughts,the devil himself came from the other end of the room and I can even say some people stopped breathing.As he came closer and stood among the two oldies beside the high table,“Sorry dad,hope I didn’t take long"he said

“OH SHOOT,NIGGA IS FINE AS HELL.The man before me is s*x on the legs,how can a human being look soo perfect.He had the perfect skin,the perfect features.What attracted me was his dark green eyes that looked like emerald.The hell,why am I thinking about a man referred to as the devil.There is a rumor that he has no heart,like there is virtually nothing moving in his chest.“Don’t worry son”,Gerald said and brought me back to reality.“Get seated and let’s get over it h this thing”,Gerald said again and the devil turned in my direction.He raised his brows for a mini second,almost unnoticeable when he saw me.He walked majestically and sat down next to me.“Oh boy?he smells wonderful “,I thought.My dad and Mr.Gerald came to the center and sighed some documents and they all recited,“In mafia,marriage is not about two years and people,but it is about two families”,“two families",they all shouted and drank wine.Mom brought two drinks and place them on the table whiles dad brought a document for us to sign.We both sighed without hesitation and mom motioned us to drink some wine and we obeyed.Gerald came for my hand and sent me to the center of the gathering.“Ladies and gentlemen,I present to you Mrs Kimora Kelan Manikovisks",Gerald said and the gathering applauded loudly

DAD’S POV

I am very glad the marriage pulled off successfully because I didn’t believe Kimora will sit down quietly.I didn’t realize that my resentment towards her has made her a weapon.I got frightened at how she has become and I keep wondering how and when she learnt all these because I never allow any woman to enter my training ground so how did she.Oh well at least she is leaving because I wouldn’t know how to keep her under leash.“We will send a car to come for her in the evening to Kelan’s house”,Gerald said.They exchanged pleasantries and the Manikovisks and the guests left for their respective homes.I went to my room to pack Nina and I our stuffs.“I can’t believe it!Lauren said as she entered the room.You are married to the richest and also sexily dangerous man.This is like a blessing and a curse on you but I am not afraid because I know shadow can manipulate even the devil”,Lauren said proudly.“Don’t worry Lauren,I got this”,Kimora said.Kimora went in front of Lauren and gave a wicked grin,"Let’s see who will succumb to the other because it’s definitely not going to be me,I have waited for this day for soo long and it’s finally here,Let’s the hunt begin devil”,Kimora said whiles laughing and Lauren also joined in with her laughter
