Mona and Charissa were seated at a table by the window overlooking the beach. Mona had not uttered a word since Charissa gave her Pinto’s demands. Charissa had become more chatty all of a sudden. Mona felt her heart heavy; Charissa was her one true friend. There was a reason Luna Athena chose her instead of Charissa.
