“Yes Bi..t..ch..” She replies and I make a move to protect my tummy.
Like it would do anything to protect my second soon to happen loss. I better die this time.
“Alonzo.” I whisper as he walks in and I just know what all this means.
I know what it means. I do, right? Right from the moment he drove into Angelo’s premise, I knew nothing was right anymore but I stupidly followed in. I did not give an excuse to leave because I thought I could act it off. Alonzo had mentioned a couple times that he lost his brother.
At that point my brain was put into more action than my mind, I began to imagine the worst case scenario, but I snapped myself out of it. What if he just works for him and he is not… wait I never thought of knowing Alonzo’s last name.
