It was time for Daren to return to the pack and Kyle’s joy knew no bounds. Amanda and Bennett got flowers ready as they headed to the hospital.
They were grateful things had gone smoothly and Daren was more than healthy. “Are you gonna miss grandpa?” Kyle asked as he wheeled the car to the parking lot and Bennett nodded.
“I will but mom said I can visit on weekends” Bennett replied and Kyle smiled. “You’re just so smart, I’m lucky you take after me” Kyle boasted and Amanda scoffed.
“A turkey carrying the feathers of a peacock” Amanda replied and Kyle glared at her.
“If Bennett should take after you then I’d spend lots of time monitoring him, I’d have to get at least three private teachers too”
“What do you mean?” Kyle retorted, feigning anger.
