Chapter 20

Elena's POV:

"And your time starts now", Chris said firmly. I was going to say something, but he cuts the call instantly.

It was so shocking for me that Chris just threaten me. I didn't even think that he could be so angry about such a simple matter. His anger would be acceptable if I talked with Anthony but I didn't.

I also said the reason for Chris being honest but in return, he threaten me thinking that I disobeyed his request not to contact with Anthony. But in reality, I really did what he said.

Although I called Anthony but I didn't talk to him but Chris wasn't even ready to listen to any of my words. All he did is barked at me and lastly threaten me.

And his threat wasn't sounding a joke at all rather he really means what he said. Now, I don't know how to manage such a huge amount of money within 36 hours.

Even, the mere thought of Chris's threat making my whole body shiver in fear. Until yesterday, I was considering Chris only arrogant and a person with full of attitude. But today... Today his behavior, and the way he was talking with me, are only proving he is much more than my thought.

Still, I'm hearing his furious voice in my mind which is making me afraid than ever because no one ever talks with me in this way before except my dad. But my dad also never talked with me this much harshly or rudely like Chris did today.

Forgetting about Chris, I started thinking about his threat. Although I don't accept his stupid threat, but it's still scaring me like hell.

I have to make Chris take back his words and give me some times to pay the money. But I don't think that I could ever manage that much money if he agreed to give me time.

Without going back to sleep, I started calling Chris, but he was ignoring my call every time. Finding no other way, I started sending him text saying sorry, but I get no response in return.

There was no doubt he fixed his mind about his decision and I don't think he will change it. But I have to request him to change his mind because I don't want to lose any of this wealth which doesn't even belong to me.

If I lose all of this then I won't face Aunt Jenna ever again. And also, I have to return everything back to my Stefan otherwise I won't be able to keep my mom words.

I again started calling Chris but this time he switched off his phone, and I don't know how to talk to him now. I was wishing to go to his house right now and request him to take back his words. But I have to wait until morning as it's still dark outside.

I refused to sleep again because sleep went far away from my eyes now as I keep remembering about Chris's threat. And I can't stop myself to look at the clock frequently as time was passing on its own way, and it won't be late to pass 36 hours which was making my heartbeat fast due to fear. As always I find my way back to my tears, and I started crying helplessly again.

I cried the rest of the night but early in the morning, I can't keep my eyes open anymore. And eventually, I fall asleep.

I woke up with a headache from crying continuously. I thought it's early morning, but as soon as I look at the clock I find it's already 11 in the morning.

I just left stunned because I was supposed to meet with Chris early in the morning, but here I'm waking up already late. And I also lost so many hours.

I checked my phone, and it was dead. As soon as I switched on my phone, I found twenty-five missed calls from Lizzie and it was expected as I needed to go to the office at 8 in the morning.

I hurriedly complete my shower and get ready. And after that, I left the house without bothering to take my breakfast as I wanted to meet with Chris as soon as I can.

I went to Chris's penthouse, and it was another dumb thing to do to waste my time. I literally forget that he must be in his office right now. And as expected, Chris wasn't there in his penthouse.

I called Lizzie and asked him to text me Chris's office address. Although she asked me a lot of questions, but I ensure her to tell later.

After getting the address, I headed to Chris's office and soon I reached there. Although it was a branch of his head office, but still did not look less than a head office. I really feel amused as they managed their business through so many huge branches across the world, but here I keep struggling to work perfectly in only one company without any branch.

Brushing my thoughts, I entered the office building and went to the receptionist directly. The receptionist was a middle-aged lady, and she was busy with her work.

"Excuse me... Can I meet with Chris Richards? Is he in his office right now?", I asked the receptionist politely who still did not even look at me.

"Do you have any......", She stopped as soon as she looked at me.

"What an unlucky day? Miss Elena Martinez here. So... What brings you here?", She asked sarcastically while looking at me like I'm some kind of joke to her.

"Do you know me?", I know it was the stupid question to ask but it's just slipped out from my mouth.

"Who don't? You're the brightest example of failure nowadays", she said, giving me a sarcastic smile.

I can't explain how hurt I was feeling by her words, but I can't change what people think about me. So, I decided to ignore what she said and ask about Chris.

"Okay, fine... I appreciate that you know me. But Can you please say to Mr. Chris that I'm here, and I want to meet him", I request her again, but she gives me a suspicious look?

"Do you have an appointment to meet with Mr. Richards?", She asked me rudely but I shook my head being honest.

"Then left before I get you out by calling the guard", She said furiously.

I don't know what I did wrong with her that she was behaving with me so much harshly when I'm talking to her politely.

"Hey... I request you, please... It's very important to meet with him. Please, tell him one time that I'm here", I again request her because I wasn't willing to leave without meeting with Chris as I have to talk to him by any means.

Although she looked at me furiously but next second, she called someone and talk in a low voice which I hardly hear.

"Mr. Richards is busy now. He doesn't want to meet with you", I feel frustrated after hearing her. So, I again started requesting her to tell Chris that it's really urgent.

She wasn't willing to hear me but after my hundreds of requests, she decided to call again.

"He agreed... Go to the 18th floor, and his assistant will take you to his room", she said and give me last a look which was proving that I'm nothing but a trash to her.

Without saying anything, I left from there and went to the elevator. Soon I reached on the 18th floor, and there was a girl who must be Chris's assistant.

The girl was looking like my age, and she was very beautiful. But I really feel confused about her dress because it was seeming too slutty like it's not an office rather any club or bar.

"So, you're Elena....", She asked me and I nodded my head nervously thinking that maybe she also going to be angry with me as the receptionist, but she didn't.

"Come with me", as she said, I started following her.

She takes me in front of his office room and asked me to enter inside. I decided to knock before entering.

"Are you i***t? It sounds proof. Stop your drama and entered inside", saying that, she left me there alone.

Without thinking twice, I opened the door, but the sounds, and the scene which I hear and saw inside the room, make me closed the door instantly without entering inside.

"Oh....My....God...", I just left utterly shocked, and it was impossible to believe what I saw just now.

I even feeling disgusted to think that but I can't stop myself remind the scene I have seen. Chris was sitting on his chair but on his lap, there was a naked girl whose back was facing to the door. And there are having s*x shamelessly inside an office room. The girl moaning and screaming his name loudly like slut which still ringing in my ears.

I was regretting coming here. And I don't know how Chris could be so disgusting and shameless that he allowed me to enter inside when he is having s*x with a girl.

He might ask me to wait sometime, but he didn't rather he must want me to witness this scene so that I feel disgust running through my veins.

I really wanted to go back to my office, but I can't. Even I have no choice other than waiting for him until he finished his pleasure schedule.

I went near the couch and sit there. And start waiting for the girl to come out because I never going to talk with Chris while seeing those scenes in front of my eyes.

I looked at my watch and start feeling more scared because I'm losing my time. I again started crying while waiting there because I started feeling like I will lose everything.

"Hey... Didn't you go inside", the assistant again comes to me and asked me.

I don't know why she even asking. She must know the reason why I didn't enter inside.

"They...inside they are....", I was even feeling disgust to spell that out because it was again reminding me of the scene which I have seen.

"What... You wanted to meet him. So go inside and meet with him. What's the problem?", She asked me again like she doesn't know what is happening inside.

"I came here to talk to him. I'm not willing to watch p*rn", I said, being furious this time. After hearing me, she gives me an angry look.

"If you want to meet with him then you have to do that right now because you have no appointment. And Chris also told the same", she yelled at me, giving me a death glare.

So... I was right. Chris intentionally permit me to meet with him as he wanted me to see what he was doing.

"Please... I'm uncomfortable to go there", I literally begged to her so that she doesn't force me to go inside.

"I will wait until the girl leaves", I again said although I was also worried about time. But I have no choice other than wasting my time and wait for his slut to leave.

I think the assistant feels pity as I begged her, and she doesn't force me anymore to go inside rather she sat beside me.

"Do you think me and Chris could be a cute couple?", She asked me out of the blue and I don't know what to reply.

I started observing her again and I really don't know what to think about her. Because everything about her was making me think that she is indeed another slut. And I'm sure she already had s*x with Chris.

"Ye...Yes, of course", I replied.

Although I can't even imagine them as a couple, but I agreed as I wasn't willing to make her furious on me again.

"So... Are you his girlfriend?", I asked curiously.

"Not yet but I'm trying to seduce him. But I think he loses interest in me after one time. But I'm still his assistant, and I think I would back his interest on me again by having some mind-blowing s*x with him", she said, and I smiled sadistically.

After coming here, I'm feeling like having s*x is similar to having everyday meals to them and also Chris. And here I'm feeling disgusted just hearing this kind of thing.

"I have already......", I stopped her because I wasn't willing to hear bullsh*t anymore.

"I... I'm not used to this kind of conversation. Can you please change the topic?", I asked her politely.

"And why not? Don't pretend like you never had s*x before?", She asked although I told her to change the topic.

I decided to stay silent because I don't want to reply to her slutty and stupid question. And if I replied honestly then I already guessed how she is going to react.

"Why you don't..... Wait... Are you still a virgin?", She asked me with full of surprise in her eyes. I don't know why it is so surprising for her. It's not like every girl has to be like her.

"Is it very surprising for you?", I asked curiously.

"Obviously... I mean... Didn't you have any boyfriend ever?", She asked sounding shocked, but I simply shook my head in reply.

Although I disagree about having a boyfriend to her but Stefan was the only male friend in my life whom I still love unconditionally. And Stefan isn't a simple boyfriend for me rather he is the love of my life.

"Okay... It's unbelievable that you never had any boyfriend. You're indeed so gorgeous and beautiful. If I were you then.....", She stopped as the girl who was with Chris, come out from the office room.
