Stefan become all puzzled and stunned as soon as he saw his mom was standing in front of him. He becomes so shocked that he failed to judge the moment whether it was real or not. His mind also becomes blank and he wasn't capable to think anything about whom he was seeing.
Until now, he only believed that his mom got killed in front of his eyes, and seeing her alive today, wasn't easy for him to accept at once rather he becomes surprised than ever. But he managed himself to come back from the shock state and the next second, he looked at Elena with tear-filled eyes to ensure that he wasn't dreaming rather the moment is real.
