Third Person's POV:
As soon as Stefan stepped outside from Elena's grams house, the harsh words which Elena said a while ago started playing in his mind continuesly. Although he wasn't willing to give up so easily to make Elena understand but it was way more hard for him to hear what she was saying because her each words were directly hitting his soul. The moment Elena said that she hates him, he felt like someone stabbed right into his heart.
He remind that he is the one who wanted her to hate him and move on but when she finally started hating him, it's seemed impossible to accept her hatred as it was causing nothing but pain. The more he remind what Elena said a while ago, the more he felt pain which was becoming unbearable.
