Who’s your vampire mate and what do they have to with anything?”

“Also what the hell is a mate? I’m so confused, huh?” I asked panicking

“Calm down babydoll” Kaden said Gently placing his hand on my face

I jumped from the sparks that erupted where he touched. What the hell was that?!

He seemed hurt by my actions but simply withdrew his hand.

“I’ll explain everything to you but not right now, I’m taking you with me to my house to meet me parents; we have elders in our pack who can explain this entire situation and find out if there’s a way we can stop your transition” he said sighing

“No, you’re telling me what you meant right now” I dead punned.

I don’t even know where all the courage was coming from but I felt a certain power and he owed me an immediate explanation.

“Okay. As you’ve gathered I’m a werewolf, I’m the Alpha of my pack so I’m stronger than a regular wolf. We believe in the moon goodness and she has paired every wolf with a lifetime mate. So basically we fall in love once in our lifetime and a mate for us wolves is both a source of strength and sometimes a weakness. Most wolves find mates after they phase when they turn 18, phasing is fully transforming into your wolf for the first time; this is when we can easily tell when our mate is near cause there’s always a pull towards a mate and I phased 6 months ago and let me tell you right here and now that you Malaika are my fated Mate. I can feel with everything in me. My wolf feels complete after finding you.” He said, his eyes turning a flaming orange. That was the sexiest thing I’d ever seen but I will still processing everything so I couldn’t ponder on my shameful desires.

I couldn’t talk. I looked at him like he was crazy while he began driving away from my house.

After what Kaden had said to me I was left in a state of shock confusion and panic. All the wheels in my head were turning but I’m the opposite direction.

Yes once or twice I’ve wished for some excitement in my life but I swear good this isn’t what I meant at all. Also, what did he mean by I was his mate? Is this fate thing one sided? That’s not fair cause I don’t feel any pull that I can’t resist towards him, yes today I feel a stronger attraction towards him but I’m sure it’s my hormones messing with me I’ve never been alone and this close to someone so hot.

And also he said vampire mate!

“I thought wolves and vampires were mortal enemies then how can I be your mate if I’m now a vampire” I absentmindedly muttered more to myself than him

But he somehow heard me

He looked at me in understanding,

“You’re not a vampire just yet. And never have I ever heard of a wolf being mates with a leech,

I glared at him, I don’t know why that stung me When i wasn’t a even vampire.

“I mean vampire. No wolf has ever been mated to a vampire, at least non that I’ve heard of so this little situation will be sorted soon. I’m hoping there is a way to stop your transition and keep you human, that’s why we’re going to my house”

“Why didn’t you take me there last night? Wouldn’t that have made more sense?

“I wanted to but I didn’t know how much of that le...vampire’s venom had gotten into you. I guess I was hoping it would have just been a scratch and you’d be you when you woke up. s**t I really should have taken you with me last night” he said roughly pulling on his hair with the one hand that wasn’t on the wheel

It hurt me to see him in distress I found myself placing my hand on his feeling those sparks again.

“It’ll all be alright Kaden, don’t bit yourself up” I said with a smile and he smiled back at me. Wow he had the most amazing teeth

I leaned back in my seat and I kept quiet after that. His scent seemed to calm me down and I kept taking it in like a drug. I wanted so much to hold him way more than just placing my hand on him or sniffing or inhaling his intoxicating scent

My body wanted a warmth I have never even known and I didn’t understand it.

I’ve never really been a hormonal teenager but this guy was doing things to me I couldn’t explain; not like I could explain anything after last night. Add that the list of things confusing me.

We drove in a comfortable silence to his house with him occasionally glancing my way with an assuring smile.

It took us about 20 minutes to get to where Kaden’s pack houses were located. It was a gated community with about 100 and maybe more houses from what I could see; everyone seemed busy until we drove by and they started staring.

I could tell they knew I wasn’t one of them and I felt a certain uncomfortable feeling settle in me. Kaden seemed unaffected by then and continued driving till we got to his house which was the biggest house in the community.

To say his house was big was an understatement, it was a mansion with rooms I couldn’t count while just in the front; i could see stern looking guards on the roof and I saw them stiffen when they noticed me.

I was very hesitant to get out of the car till Kaden gave my hand a tight squeeze and placed his forehead on mine, I closed my eyes over, busking in the feeling of comfort he provided me. A groan escaped my mouth when he pulled away but he gave me one last assuring smile then opened his door and got out. I watched him walk to my side while the guards bowed to him. He really was the Alpha huh

He moved to open my door and then giving me his hand to take

I happily took it and got out the car. Immediately I stepped out the guards at the front of the house took defensive stances and began snaring and growling. Kaden quickly placed me behind him in a defensive way and he growled so loud the ground shook. I froze in place both afraid and aroused. I don’t know how those to emotions could mix but they did.

The guards lowered their heads and moved away slowly whimpering like wet dogs or wolves in this case. He quickly got me to his side and started walking me to the door. With him beside me I wasn’t even afraid of what those wolves would do. I felt protected. I felt the safest I’ve ever felt in my life beside a werewolf I looked at my tiny hands in his; they fit perfectly.

Just when we got to the doors they swung open revealing an older version of Kaden; his eyes were blue just like Kaden though right now there was anger evident in them he had a small clean beard and chestnut brown hair he was slightly shorter than Kaden but looked very fit like the other older guy standing to his left who had kind hazel eyes and a look I couldn’t quite decipher.

To the right of That man a very beautiful woman, she was slim with glowing skin like she bathed in milk, her hair was straight and silk black just like Kaden, she had the exact nose as Kaden as well. He definitely got his looks from his mama.

“What’s going on here?” The man I could see was Kaden’s father spoke,

He looked at me and then to Kaden’s face then our hands which were still together

“Why is my son and Alpha holding a leech on my front doors?”

He spoke with so much and and disgust I grimaced and hid behind Kaden.

“Father!” Kaden spoke with a low growl

His father seemed shocked but quickly masked it

I caressed Kaden’s hand with my thumb when I noticed he was getting upset and he took a deep breathe and sighed.

“Father, Morher,” he said more calmly, “I’d like you both to meet Malaika, my mate and your Luna. He stated.

Everyone froze without saying a word the only thing you could hear were the gasps coming from other pack members who’d gathered behind us after Kaden’s loud growl.

“Is Kaden back?” A girl who looked about 10 years old come out screaming she posed when she saw the state everyone outside was in and even she stopped smiling when her eyes landed on me.

His father was a about speak when Kaden’s mother beat his to it;

“Well this is definitely not the surprise I would have guessed to find when we got back Alpha” she said

She started descending slowly from the stairs and I felt Kaden’s grip tighten on my hand. She noticed this but paid no mind.

She walked till she was right in front of me and then she smiled

A warm genuine smile that commanded me to smile right back at her

“She’s Beautiful” she said looking at Kaden, a sense of relief washed over him but not more than me.

“Lunar light pack, Luna. We’ve been waiting for you she said with a smile. Everyone except the alphas family and guards where murmuring but I paid no mind

I didn’t know how to react I just stood there with my eyes wide open.

“Call the oracles and Greta to the meeting room” she said to one of the guards and then walked back up the stairs taking her husbands hand and taking him with her into the house. The other older guy and the little girl both followed them inside.

Kaden then moved to my front holding both my hands in his. He seemed much more relaxed.

“Everything will be alright my Luna” he said placing his hand on my lower back and leading me into the house.

I wanted to ask him about this new Luna thing but decided to keep it for later, I was just glad we weren’t outside anymore the sun was beginning to shine again and it made my body uncomfortable. I’m really turning into a undead aren’t I?

KADEN~

I woke with a edgy wolf. Oryon was going crazy in my head about our MATE and honestly I was as well. Even though just the previous day I was telling myself i don’t care about mates anymore the minute it hit me that Malaika was my mate I knew I was a goner.

It’s just crazy that it took her being turned for me to completely sense her.

I woke up and rushed to her house. I needed to check on her.

When Laika leaned into me inhaling my scent I felt a need I have never felt for anyone. I don’t care if it’s the mate bond but that little act had my on cloud 9. Her scent was already my drug and I could tell I was hers as well and that feeling is unmatched.

I’m glad she pulled away when she did cause I was on the verge of losing my control and marking her right there and then. My c**k was throbbing just from how she pulled on my hair and when she kissed my neck god it took everything in me to not complete the mating process right there and then.

When I told her she was my vampire mate she was in shock but still handled it better than I thought. She didn’t understand what I’d meant which is understandable as she’s human so when she asked me to tell her I obliged.

A lot of things were going on in mind, most of all I was worried about her transitioning; all I thought about was not letting that happen and as we drove to my home her scent again kept me sane even when I was beating myself down she made me feel better just by a touch of the hand.

When we got to my house my pack members kept staring, they could smell her transitioning but they did nothing because they sensed me. My stupid guards are a different story though they frightened my mate when they started getting defensive, I snapped and used my Alpha voice to calm them down.

That somehow turned on Laika I could smell her arousal and it gave me a mini hard on.

My dad talking to my mate like that had me boiling I know he can’t stand vampires but my mate wasn’t even one yet and I’d already convinced myself that even if we couldn’t stop it I’d accept and love her and my family and pack will have to accept her as my mate and their rightful Luna.

I was glad my mom didn’t seem to apprehensive about the whole situation. She’s always been the civil one between my parents and I was glad she wasn’t as mean to my mate as my dad was.

She quickly took control of the situation calling for a pack meeting and mind linking me to take my Luna inside.

I lead Laika inside hopefully we’ll get good news about her situation from the oracles and Greta they were my only hope right now.

MALAIKA~

When we walked into the house I couldn’t properly admire the house as I was too nervous but could tell everything in here is super expensive. Everything is either a shade of brown, white or burgundy.

The walls in the passage to the supposed meeting room is filled with paintings of wolves. All so beautiful. One painting in particular stands out and stops me in my tracks; it’s a painting a big beautiful very beautiful black with white paws, reminds me of my cousins cat except this one is way way bigger with red eyes.

I already know who it is

“Beautiful” I say not knowing everyone heard me

I turn to Kaden and look him in the eyes, his eyes seem darker, hooded even.

“You are beautiful” I say loud enough for him and anyone close to hear

“Den brother! You finally have someone who thinks you’re good looking, how does it feel?” The young girl from before says

Kaden pays her no mind as he seems to be lost in something on my face causing me to blush and lower my gaze

He places his hand on my chin lifting my face to meet his.

“And you my little mate are the most beautiful person I’ve ever seen” he says with so much intensity It send chills down my spine and butterflies in my stomach. I might actually have a bug in there for real.

“Get a room” the girl calls out walking up the stairs which are opposite of where Kaden is leading me.

We walk into a room with a big round table; “uh king Arthur’s round table” I joke in my head but chuckle to my joke out loud causing Arthur, I mean Kaden to look at me amusingly

I continue to walk till he pulls out a chair for me right next to his. I take my seat so doesn’t he then everyone else follows

People start walking in filling the seats till there only 4 seats left. Three identical beautiful girls with pure white hair maybe 14 years old walk in and then bow to Kaden and then to me

“Hello, future Luna” Some of them Say at the same time shocking me while others have disgusted looks on their faces.

Clearly they do not like me.

They take their seats and next an old woman who looks like she came from a pub walks in burping. She stops when she sees me and gives a me curtesy

“Alpha Kaden” she says bowing

“Luna Malaika” good to finally meet you

I just sit there even more confused than when I found out I was Kadens “vampire mate”

I want to say something to Kaden when an excruciating pain hits me. With a loud scream I fall to the ground.
