Winter always comes early to North City. I sat in the passenger seat of Damien's car, watching the street views blurring past the window in a rush. The heater was on inside the car, wrapping the space in just the right amount of cozy warmth. "Do you still want to stop by and see him?" Damien asked me. "No need."
