I looked back at Steve with shock. “No, Steve…I don’t think that’s necessary. I believe in him.” I said before picking up another food from the plate. We all know that it was a lie. Call me stupid, but I was already regretting my own decision now. I shouldn’t let him do this in the first place.
“You can’t lie to me, Judith. I am taking you there now.” Steve said persistently, getting up from the sofa. He picked up his jacket and then put them on. I blew out a defeated sigh at him. He’s right, and it seems like he wouldn’t take no as an answer. I have to go there.
