“I can’t believe you have to go. Isn’t all of the information Dr. Cranston needs here?” I gesture toward the tomb’s entrance.
Samira and Ever roll their eyes, “We’ll just be gone for a couple of weeks, Val.”
I cross my arms in front of my chest and pout, “But they’re not even sending you to the same place. You’re going to Egypt,” I point at Samira, “and you’re going to Spain,” I say to Everly in an accusing manner.
Sami chuckles while Ever mimics my defensive stance, “Cut the s**t, Val. You know that our research is important for graduation. We’ll be back before you know it. Besides, you have your gorgeous angelic boyfriend to keep you busy until then. You’ll be fine without us.”
