“The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown.” Ava remembered this quote, she read it somewhere but forgot the name of the writer and it’s not important to remember because she was that mankind with the oldest and strongest emotion which is ‘fear’..

The moment she enter into this pathway inside this weird forest to ever laid her eyes upon, her body senses something different starting from the goosebumps arose all over her body and the involuntary tremble of her left eyelid, the surrounding were nothing usual, the trees were giant big and sometimes the roots seems to move like trying to caught her legs.

If one may ask her to define the fear of unknown. The answer will be running from someone inside a terrifying forest being chased by roots of weird trees, hearing voices calling out for you and going in circles around the same place not knowing where is the right way or how to get out of such place.

Every turn she runs toward seems to make her return to the starting point were she was with Shawn. Even though she was running away from him now she wish she could just see him.

The night is approaching, the ray of light shows that the sun is about to sleep again. She was trapped by this situation the whole damn day since last night this nightmare is chasing after her it doesn’t stop.

The exhaustion of running around without rest torn her muscles into liquid she decided to face whatever fear of unknown that ahead of her as… ‘There is no terror in the bang, only in the anticipation of it’. She sat down across a tree and decided whatever that chasing her should catch her. And true to her anticipation the moving root roll itself around her legs like a snake and drag her through the door that opened at the middle of one giant tree and throws her inside the darkness, her head hit something and she couldn’t see anything, the pounding of her own head was the only sound she heard before succumb to the darkness.

“Leah wake up!”

Ava’s head was very heavy it feel like she was carrying a heavy stone on top of it. Someone was waking her up and the light were blinding when she opened her eyes, she had to blink several times for her eyes to adopt to the light. She was laying on something smooth yet hard at the same time it looks like a bed formed from a wood or a tree she couldn’t tell. The place smell nice like a fresh palm tree a smell of free fish like the beach….yes like the ocean.

She sat up looking around and her eyes couldn’t believe what she was seeing, like she didn’t fall inside a tree, this place is nothing that one could imagine…. There are people everywhere, some group of men working on building a boat other from a far building a house more like a hat and children playing tossing a ball around chasing after the ball other children were playing bulding a santa on the sand…. And far ahead she could see the ocean the waves hit another waves and the smell grew stronger on her nostril like the awakening of her senses..

She had been to the beach before with Leah and Lydia but never like this… it never felt so welcoming to be watching waves from the ocean, it feels like hope and a new beginning like she can finally figure things out.. a small smile formed from her face.

“It’s the ocean” a woman speaks beside her she didn’t even notice an audience beside her “it does that to people… it makes you feel safe and give you hope” she stretch her hand “I am Mary”

Ava accept her hand and shoke it “Ava” she said

“I know” Mary smiles at her “come with me let me take you to your rightful place”

What!?, Does this feels right? Ava started asking herself while following Mary, it does not feel like she was in any kind of danger maybe she could get help here..

“Mary” she called the woman and Mary stops and turned to her, waiting for her to ask a question.

“What is this place?” Ava asked

“Your at stone Town, a place where you can get all your answers Ava” Mary answered her

“How did i end up here?” She asked again

“Shawn brought you here of course” she was stunned that other questions died inside her tongue upon hearing Shawn’s name.

How in the world did that happen, the last thing she remembered was running away from him and being trapped inside a tree or was that a trick of a mind again. If shawn was the one brought her here does that mean, does that mean she should be Leah and not Ava but why did this woman believe her name was Ava.

Is she right to be following this woman.

Mary took them to this cave that didn’t seem to be a cave, there were different kind of flowers, the entrance was magnificent, beautiful decorated with all kind of flowers. Others she knows by name like Rose, lilies and Lilac but other she didn’t even know they exist….. Ava was more than stunned this place is so beautiful and welcoming.

They entered inside the cave and once again she couldn’t stop her mouth from hang low … this was the first time she saw so many candles in one place and with different colors the place was decorated very nicely and when they reach the center she saw pool or maybe a pond she didn’t know which one is it.

“Freshen up first, you can take a bath here. This will be your bathing chamber” Mary said

“My bath chamber?” She didn’t know what else to say

“Yes, it was prepared especially for your return… over there is your changing cloth” Ava turned and saw a pile of clothes on a huge bucket “I will wait outside once you finish your cleaning” and without another word mary left her alone

This place was tempting and she in deed needs a cleaning so she decided to deep herself into the water and the water was very welcoming it was like gaining a power over her whole body and she felt lighter than before. Healed even.

When she was clean enough, she changed into one of the dresses from the bucket and she smiled at how the dress was very beautiful and how it changed her look.

Once she was outside she saw mary waiting for her and without word she started leading a way and Ava followed her into a tunnel which was very bright and beautiful to even be called a tunnel. When they finish crossing the tunnel they emerge to a very big bungalow, that call it a bungalow is understatement, it was very big and beautiful and very bright…she was once again stunned by this place it never cease to amaze her…more people here at this house and guards are everywhere at the gate, inside the house and each corner of the building seems to be guarded which led to many questions on her head which she couldn’t ask.

And finally they come to astop at a very massive door which was beautiful made and enchanted to touch but she restrained herself .

Mary turns to her “They will open for you”

Ava asked “Who?”

“Remember..your not Ava but Leah” Mary said and started to walk away and Ava couldn’t believe her eyes….so mary knew…yes obviously she introduced herself to her as Ava. But why did she say it like that?

She wanted to go after Mary for more information but the huge door before her opens and heard a voice deep like thunder, terrifying like a roar and a chile went down her spine.

“Come my girl. Come. To. Papa”
