*Nevaeh* I gaze out the window at the last few buildings in Philadelphia before they give way to the Pennsylvania countryside. Seeing this world in 1863, maybe for the last time, it almost seems dreamlike. Even with the dust of the dirt roads billowing around them, many of the grand brick buildings are so new, even their mortar shines brightly. I can recall a few of them that still stand in 2025. Their facades have faded by then, wear and tear taking a toll on them, the bricks lackluster from the weight of age.
