*Nevaeh* I wait for Louise, one of the nurses I’ve been working with to secretly see patients, to give me the signal that Nurse Strawn is busy, then I sneak into the room with the wounded soldier who needs help. “Let’s take a look.” He tries to smile, but I can see he’s in too much pain. His wound is swollen, covered in white pus, with streaks of black around the edges. Unfortunately, this is just one of several I’ve seen in the same condition.
