Lauren's pov.
I was woken up by his voice—Ezra’s voice.
Normally this could have gone the way everyone thought it should but I wasn't ready to mess up my day.
The words and scenes from last night repeated provocatively in my head as I stood out of bed.
I noticed his figure standing tight outside the room.
Ezekiel was already up but he was also quiet, staring at Ezra loose his s**t.
“Oh, you are up.” Ezekiel's voice resonated and I smiled back.
“Yeah..”
I literally acted like there was no one by the door, it was one thing to try and now it was another thing to let go.
“Thanks for last night, Ezekiel.”
Just then Ezra's sorry voice rose loudly.
“Last night?” he was fuming. “What the hell happened last night—Oh… I see.”
