Kris went on and on before turning to Stella with a smile. "Miss Green, so what do you think? Wanna grab a drink? Just one, no strings attached."
She shot him a quick, dismissive "Sorry," then spun around and strode further into the second floor.
Miranda was still inside, waiting for her. Stella had only stepped out to check on the ruckus.
Kris hurried after her, his voice almost whining. "What's the matter? It's just a drink. I really just want to talk. I'm not trying anything here. You're not still into Adrian, are you? Trust me, that guy's a total bust!"
"Don't leave like that. At least give me your number. I really like you, and—"
Before he could finish, Stella snapped, "I'm married."
