Ian's POV:
I stood at Aryanna's door. I wondered how long I had stood there before I knocked.
There was no answer, so I knocked again. When I didn't hear anything, I tuned into my wolf ears and knocked one more time.
I could have heard a pin drop. My wolf ears could have picked up more things, but the door prevented that.
Was she so tired she was sleeping and didn't hear me? Aryanna was a light sleeper, just like me, and the little things woke her up.
So if she was sleeping and didn't hear me knock, she must have been tired.
I rubbed my forehead. If she was that tired, I would probably have to cut down her workload. Brenda was more in charge of her work than I was, but if it was necessary, I would have no choice but to step in.
The other option was to remove her from being a maid. L
