Lily I woke up with my cheek resting against Caspian's chest and his arm wrapped securely around my waist. For a few seconds, I didn't remember where I was. I simply listened to his steady breathing and felt the warmth of his body against mine. Then I remembered everything, the forest, the stranger, the temple, and tonight's ball. I slowly lifted my head and looked at Caspian. His eyes were still closed, and for the first time, I got to look at him without him noticing. His dark hair was slightly messy, and there was something almost boyish about his sleeping face that I rarely saw when he was acting like the Alpha King. I reached up and carefully pushed a strand of hair away from his forehead. His hand suddenly tightened around my waist. I froze. “You were staring,” he said sleepily.
