Chapter- 40 " Like a wife "

              It was a cloudy evening and Iri, Ella and Al were having dinner together at the table.

Iri was fidgeting around the whole time and she finally managed to ask, " Umm, Aldri can I ask you something?"

Ella and Al both looked at her and he said, " Sure, what's is it? "

Iri was felling a bit reluctant but still asked, " Did you hear anything from Jace these days? "

" Not much, he sometimes send me the places of some of the demons hideout but their main base is not yet found. So he may take a bit while before he come back. " He saw that the girl was waiting for a good news but that was all he knew.

Iri sighed a little, " Oh, thank you." She was not having much of an appetite so she only ate a little.

She stood up from the table and left, " I'm done. I'll be leaving first. Good night you two. "

They saw that she was not feeling well so they just said, okay goodnight without holding her back and she went to her room.

Ella saw her retreating and said, " She has been waiting for him to return, she's been worrying about him so much that she has even become less cheerful."

Al looked at ther and said, " Don't worry, he's safe and if nothing happens he'll be back before long. He also worries about her safety a lot so he didn't want to come back before making sure of the enemies plans and whereabouts. "

Ella nodded her head, " Guess so, I hope they forgive each other and accept each other's feelings soon. They both love each other so much, it's a shame they're keeping quite of their worries and suffering alone. "

They had both finished their dinner and Al patted her head saying, " Don't worry too much, they are not kids anymore, they are just going at their own pace, I'm sure they'll figure out a way that's best for them. "

Ella made a humming sound as an agreement and stood up collecting the plates and went to the kitchen.

She had been feeling at home since arriving at his place, she delivered her things and cars to his house. She helped around the kitchen and cleaning around often even if the people in the house told her she didn't need to work.

As for Al, ever since his full awakening he has been doing one strange thing after another enough for the people around him to notice.

One time, when Sira came for work, he had already woken up and was sitting at the living room reading some magazine. That had never happen ever, or at least Sira had never seen him awake ever since her arrival at the place.

She had asked him if he had work but he said no, she asked him if he's not feeling well but he also said no. He asked her what was wrong and having nothing good to reply him with Sira just walked away saying nothing was wrong.

Ever since than, she had gotten used to him waking up early, before her arrival so she got used to it but that wasn't where his strangeness end.

One day when Sira was a bit late for work, she rushed to the mansion thinking she'll be late in making breakfast for the young master and the two misses.

But as soon as she entered the house she witnessed a horrifying scene and she shrieked. Al was wearing an apron and preparing breakfast which looked appetizing both appearance wise and taste as well.

Sira asked him weird questions again and he simply replied, " I was sure that something must have gotten you to delay so I thought I would make breakfast for today, you should join us too. "

She stared at him dumbstruck and asked, " Are you really that young master? "

He stayed silent thinking maybe she found something out but she shook her head abruptly and mumbled, " Sorry it just so strange to see the always lazy and grumpy young master to act so good and proper suddenly. Oh but please don't do this anymore, I was hold up today due to some emergency but it won't happen again. I'm glad enough that you are doing better. "

Al didn't know why but hearing her words hurt a bit of his ego. He decided to avoid it.

Ella's room was just above the kitchen, she came down hearing Sira's shriek and noticing that it was not something bad or an emergency she stood and watch the scene. When Sira talked about his change and how he was before she laughed quietly in the corner.

They both noticed her laughing and Sira wished her, " Good morning miss, did my voice wake you up? Iam sorry. " She usually didn't wake up until the sun was in the middle of the sky and that was another thing Sira had noticed and gotten used to.

Ella covered her smile and said, " No it's okay, I'm glad to see him cook as well and since I'm already awake I'll be having that. "

She had gotten a lot bolder around Al, she shamelessly walked pass Al, took the breakfast he made and said to him, " Are you gonna join me? "

He gave her a complaining look and said acting a little grumpy, " Yes, I will. " And he went out to sit at the dinning table.

She laughed and said to Sira, " Can you please make a new one for Iri."

Sira smiled and nodded, " Of couse, that's my job. Please ask the young master not to cook again. I might faint if he keep doing these things. I guess it's all thanks to you that he has changed for the better. " She gave Ella a teasingly big smile.

Ella blushed, " I don't know about that, thank you Sira. " She rushed out of the kitchen, holding the plate.

They ate together and Al was still acting mad at her for laughing at her. She dig in on the food and said, " Wow this is surprisingly really tasty. "

He was secretly happy on the inside but said smugly, " Of course, who do you think made it. "

She hold her laughter and said, " Yep, as expected of the prince, so good in everything you do. "

He smiled and said, " Yep, my lover will be really lucky. Don't you agree? " He said it suggestively at her.

Knowing full well what he was waiting for she answered, " I agree very much, so I think someone like me isn't worthy of become your lover, what a shame. "

He was not about to back down, " It's okay, I prefer woman who aren't that confident like you. "

She clicked her tongue and they both laughed at their childishness and Al said, " It's so nice living like these days, peaceful and calm " and Ella smiled as an agreement.

He suggests, " Oh by the way, some new systems are going to be launched and tested today at the company, wanna come take a look with me?"

She didn't think long before agreeing to his proposal, " I can do that, I haven't gone out in a while. "

Al smiled, " Yea, although I don't mind seeing you taking care of the house like a wife. "

She glared at him and said, " Keep saying that and I'll bring home a husband. "

Al pouted, " So mean, aren't I the only one for you? You know you're the only one I can love. "

Ella had gotten used to many of the things in his place but him constantly telling her he loved her was something she can't seem to be able get used to no matter what. So like she always have been doing, she hide her embarrassment and avoided him.

Al who was fully expecting that treatment, laughed and patted her head like a child and as always, she didn't avoid her touch and secretly enjoyed it like a cocky cat who was too proud to show that she enjoyed the pats of her owner.

While Al was having fun patting the big cat by his side, the housekeeper came up to him and said, " Mr. Jonathan is coming. "

" Oh, tell him to come he.... " Before he finished his words he saw Jonathan comming towards him like a hot bullet.

He came up to him and said quite angrily, " How can you vanish like that without telling me, do you know how problematic it was for me? Because of you I had to go to the business trip by myself and ended up taking a longer time. " He had went on a business trip and came back the day before so he haven't met Al ever since he came back from the scene with the demons.

" Sorry, but I told you about it didn't I. " He said feeling a bit guilty.

Jonathan furiously continued, " Well that was after everything was over, you should tell me before you created the problems. " He could not vent his anger because he was with his client's so he was taking out everything on Al today.

Al sighed, he was not a big talker when it comes to others besides Ella, so he found a way out, " By the way Jonathan, Ella is also here, we should not talk about those now. "

Jonathan was so furious that he didn't even noticed that it was Ella, he always get a bit timid when it come to her so he quickly step back, bowed a little and said, " I'm sorry miss Ella, I didn't notice you were also here. "

Ella saw the troubled Al and said, " It's fine, I'm glad you're back safely. Why don't you sit with us? "

Jonathan refused politely, " Oh no it's okay, we have to go back to the company right away, we have some things today. "

Al quickly said, " Oh we were also talking about that. Ella will be going with us, shall we go get ready? " He asked Ella.

She agreed and they got inside the house to get themselves ready leaving Jonathan by himself outside as he thought, " Why did Miss Ella also get ready here? Did I miss something?"
