Cute Mom

1680 Words
Neet opened his eyes and looked around, trying to find where he is. He was in a dark alley lying on the ground. "I guess I am alive, or heaven has a really...exotic appearance." Neet got up and went out of the alley. It was morning, and his clothes were all torn up, making him look like a beggar. 'I should be around two blocks from that construction building. I apologize to the owners that had to deal with such loss' Neet tough, bowing. After Neet recognized where he was, he walked in the direction of his house. He attracted a lot of gazes from people witch confirmed that he wasn't a ghost. He entered his house and walked to the living room. "Mom! I am home! Are you here?!" She didn't respond, so he searched the house looking for her, but she was not at home. He went to his room, took a shower, changed clothes, and prepared to leave the house to find his mom when someone entered the house. Neet went downstairs and saw his mom. She was messy, with her hair disheveled and dark circles under her eyes, indicating that she hadn't slept last night. "Mom..." She ran in Neet's direction, suddenly hugged him, then she broke into tears wetting his clothes. Neet wanted to say something but restrained himself and just patted her head as she cried. After some time, she calmed herself and started to talk. "I thought something happened to you. Why didn't you call me?" "I... Am not sure what exactly happened last night. It was really confusing." "Did you use drugs? No! My boy uses drugs! What did I do wrong? Are You having depression, honey? Don't worry. We will mark an appointment with the doctor. My son is a drug dealer now! God, please save my child! Are you in a gang now? You can't do it! It's too dangerous! What if you get shot? Are you a drunkard now? You can't give up your life yet! Did you kill someone? NOOO! My son is a murderer!" She was diving deeper and deeper into her own delusions, getting them worse by the second. "MOM!" Neet grabbed her shoulders and shook her a little to get her back from her toughs. "Huh?" "I did not become a mafia boss, okay?" "That is what a mafia boss would say!" "I went out last night, and while walking, I fainted because a plant vase fell on my head, okay? Nothing less, nothing more" Neet didn't like to lie to his mom, but this was for the best considering her earlier toughs. A single tear fell from one of her eyes, and she said. "Already so good at lying. Don't you worry, son, I will love you even if you are the mafia boss of the mafia bosses" *sigh* "Mom, there is a super good new anime that debut right now! Hurry! Sit on the couch so we can watch it together!" She did as he said and waited for him. Neet put the CD of one of her favorite animes and made her lie down on the couch with her head on his lap. The anime started, and she looked thoughtful. "Hey... This... Is not a new anime" She was mumbling something but was quickly giving up to the sleepiness. "One..." She couldn't finish it and fell deeply asleep, dreaming of how could her son, call that anime new. Neet stayed there with his mother sleeping on his lap as he watched the anime. Even not being a fan of anime, he wanted to have information for when his mother wanted to talk about anime. It was almost night when his mother woke up with Neet's eyes still on the screen. She was embarrassed for sleeping on her son's lap but still liked the closeness. He looked at his face, which was wholly focused on the anime, like a dedicated student. She wanted him to have fun watching it but still thought his serious face looked cool. 'He would be a really cool mafia boss' She thought. Neet realized her stare and smiled at her. "Did you had a good dream?" "Yes... I mean, no... I don't really remember it anymore." "What a pity, you looked happy sleeping." "Mooou~ Stop embarrassing me! Other mothers talk about how their sons are cute, and you are such a tease since you grew up! I miss my cute little baby." "Then, I am sorry for not being cute, I guess?" Neet smiled, and his hand started to caress her head. She enjoyed it at first but quickly pushed his hand away. "You can't treat me like a child! I am your mother!" "Amusing words, considering the fact that you are in my lap" "I...I... Humph!" She wanted to show that she was the older one but didn't want to leave his lap either, so she just ignored him. Unfortunately for Neet, his cute mom suddenly got up and went running to her room, leaving him in the living room alone. "Something happened!?" He asked because of her strange behavior. "Wait there, and don't move!" She shouted back. Sometime later, she came back with a pair of bunny ears and looked at Neet with sparkling eyes. "Put these on for me, please~?" She said, giving him the pair of bunny ears. Then Neet looked at her with a 'are you serious?' face. "Pretty please~?" "I... Have to clean the house now." "No scaping! You worried me a lot last night, so because of that, you totally NEED to put these on!" Neet didn't know what to say about that, but he felt guilty to made her worry about him even not being his fault, so in the end, he could just sigh. Neet reluctantly put the bunny ears on, and his mother started to take pictures of him. *Click* *Click* *Click* "Put your hand close to your head, lift your leg back a little, and say 'Nya'" "Isn't that a cat?" "just do it!" Neet did as she told, looked at her in the eyes, and said. "Nya-" *Click* *Click* *Click* "Hehe~" She looked at the photos and giggled with a strange face. "Mom, it's late. We should go to bed now." "Noooooo, I don't want to!" "But you need to sleep well, or it will be hard tomorrow, and it isn't healthy." "You don't need to worry. I slept plenty just now. I am full of energy!" She said, raising her fist in the air and making a pose. *Sigh* "If you are so full of energy, maybe you want to help me clean the house." At that moment, she put down her arms, laid on the couch, and got a blanket... "Zzzzzzzz" Then she made some fake sleeping sounds. "That's what I thought." ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- The next day, Neet woke up and saw his mother sleeping soundly on the bed. She must have slept late last night using her cellphone. He approached her and kissed her forehead before walking out of the house to school. While Neet was walking to school, a strange man approached him and pulled out a knife, pointing it at Neet. "Give me all your stuff, and no one needs to be hurt!" Neet looked at the man's face with a 'Are you serious?' face. He makes that face a lot. 'What is up with my luck these days? Maybe I need to go to the church? No, I don't think it would work as I am not a 'devoted' supporter that makes 'donations' every month' Neet thought. "Hurry up! I don't want to hurt you!" In answer to the man's words, Neet slowly got closer to him, and when they were just a little apart from each other. Neet pulled out a stun gun and pressed it against the man's chest. *BZZZZZZ* As the man was being electrified. Neet was thinking of how he would probably be late for class. 'You should have appeared on the weekend. Now, I'm going to be late.' Now, he was looking at the unconscious man with a 'Are you stupid' face, as if his thoughts were the most obvious thing in the world. Then, Neet picked the man up and brought him to the delegacy. He never considered the thought of running to school. He liked to look at the blue sky while walking, appreciating the peaceful silence in the morning. Unfortunately for him, his peace was just about to be destroyed... Again. A limousine suddenly stopped near him, and the black glass window went down. From it, a beautiful young girl with the same school uniform could be seen. But Neet didn't seem to realize these facts and just walked casually. "Hey! Don't ignore me!" Neet showed no reaction... "HEEEY! I AM TALKING TO YOU!" He finally looked at the limousine and pointed at himself as if asking, 'Me?'. "Yes, you!" "So... What do you want?" "So rude!! I even said good morning." "Sorry, I haven't heard it." "... Whatever, so, why are you going to school this late? You usually go earlier." "Sorry, but do I know you?" She looked like she would start crying because of that question. "It's me! Amanda, I sit on the chair next to yours!" "Okay then" She shivered a little by his calm voice, not bothering about the whole situation. "Do you want a ride to school? You are going to be late if you walk all the way" She shyly asked. "No, I'm fine." She had already opened the door because she didn't think he would refuse. The poor woman looked on the edge of tears by his answer. "Why did you open the door?" He asked the only question she didn't want him to ask. "I... I saw that you were pitifully alone, so I decided to keep you company and walk with you to school!" She said the first thing that came to her mind. "Okay then" Neet said and walked away. "Hey! Wait for me at least" She said, running to his side.
