Night

Neet was eating his snacks as he walked through the school gates. He didn't have any friends that tried to steal his snacks so he could eat them openly. *snatch* *snatch* "Not bad, but I still like more the spice ones." He walked all the way to his house. Neet is someone that doesn't care much about what happens around him. He is always bored and didn't like what most people his age found interesting. When he entered his house, he went straight to his bedroom. He jumped on the bed and started to daydream. 'What should I do?' Was the thought that perturbed him almost every day. 'I don't really want to do anything, there isn't anything that interests me, and most of the things I know are boring.' *sigh* 'Life should be more exciting, right? there should be something that interests me, no?' He got up from his bed and went to the bathroom. *Shhhhhh* he could hear the sound of water through the door. Neet was daydreaming in the shower now, and he didn't seem like he would leave soon. *Knock* *Knock* "Are you okay, honey?" He could hear the voice of his worried mom through the door. Neet stopped the shower and picked a towel. He could not care about most things, but he still cared a lot about his mom. It could be said that the only thing that matters to him is his mom. "I am okay, mom. I just am a little lost in my thoughts, that's all." "Okay, honey, but if anything is bothering you, please tell me." "Sure, mom, but I think there are some things that we should deal with on our own" "I know, I know. But I can't help but be worried." "Thanks, mom, love you." "Love you too honey." Neet left the bathroom and went to the living room. His mother was washing the dishes. "Neet, eat something. You didn't eat anything since you arrived" "Sorry, mom, I ate some snacks when I was on the way from school, so I'm not hungry." "Mooou~ You shouldn't eat those things when am I here preparing food for you." "Sorry..." "It's okay, but can you go to the grocery store and buy some things for me, honey?" "Sure, mom, anything you ask." Neet got up, changed to some more presentable clothes, and went out. He was slowly walking on the streets, looking at the sky. Though the sky didn't interest him to the point he would research about it, he still found it really beautiful. *Sigh* "How can I find something pretty and boring at the same time?" He walked for some minutes and was almost at the grocery store when he was surprised by a really, really, reaaaallly unusual scene. The sky was darkening, and the streets were starting to become dark by this time, but he still could clearly see it. A giant black monster was standing on its two feet, horns poking out of his head, his eyes were white and hollow, and his mouth was big. Aside from its horns, the black aura around its body, and its big mouth, the monster physic was similar to a human. "Damn... I wasn't expecting that" 'I should run, right? Did someone put drugs in the snacks I ate?... Probably not. Maybe I fell asleep when I jumped on the bed in my room?... No, if this was a dream, I should have woke up by now. Or maybe it's just a hallucination? A prank? Yes, that is the most probable thing. But, no matter what is happening right now, the answer will be the same... RUN!' *Sigh* "What a pain~" Neet quickly turned his body and moved his legs. It was impressive that people, even with low physics, in danger their body becomes a lot more 'fit' for exercises. But this wasn't Neet's case. He had kite a muscular body. He ran very fast, but the monster started to chase him. Then entered an alley, hoping the beast couldn't enter it because of its massive build. He looked back, hoping to see the monster giving up the chase but was quickly disappointed. It didn't give two f***s about the walls of the alley and forced his way through, destroying what obstructed him. "C'mon... Are you starving? I bet I won't taste good." Neet ran through the alley and escaped to the other side, leaving the alley. The monster was slower because of the obstruction but quickly reached the end of the alley, and the chase continued. While running, Neet saw an abandoned building a little far away. If it continued like this, the monster would reach him in no time. 'Maybe...' He ran at full speed in the direction of the building. It didn't take much for him to reach it and enter the construction site. "Okay, monster, I still need to buy groceries, so this better work." Neet started to run to one of the pillars that supported the building and made the monster run straight to it. The monster clashed with it and destroyed the pillar, abruptly the whole structure started to shake, and pieces of it started to fall while Neet was still running from the monster, making it destroy more and more pillars. *RUMBLE* The construction didn't resist for much time and started to crumble, large iron pillars falling closer and closer to Neet and the monster. Not wanting to die from it, Neet began to run out of the crumbling building, hoping one piece of iron pierced and killed the beast. Sadly for him, chunks of concrete fell in a way that blocked his path out of the building. *Sigh* "Such bad karma." He didn't have much room to run anymore, and his body was already at the limit, so the monster was closing the distance between them very fast. Suddenly, the monster leaped towards Neet at full strength, closing the distance completely. But before it could tear Neet in two with its claws, a giant iron pillar fell on it, piercing its chest. *Sigh* "Well... kite the scare you gave me. Sorry to the people who own this building, but my mom would be really sad if I died" While Neet was 'celebrating' his victory, the monster moved with the pierced iron in his chest. It used its claws to cut half the iron piece and removed it right after creating a big hole on its chest. "I guess I rejoiced too soon" Neet said, already far from his earlier position. The building was still crumbling. More and more pieces of concrete and iron fell to the ground, surprisingly not hitting the monster neither Neet. Then Neet saw a gap that he could use to scape the construction area, but it was a little high. He would need to jump a lot higher than he was used to witch would be difficult because of the present state of his body. "C'mon, just a little more." He jumped with all his strength, barely passing through the gap and falling from a considerable weight, resulting in many wounds. *RUMBLE* The building completely fell, covering the monster beneath it. "Haaaaah" Neet released a long sigh and rolled on the ground without the strength to get up. But without giving him the chance to relax, the remains of the building started to shake, and the monster struggled out of them. "Well... I tried, I really tried. Sorry, mom, I guess I won't be able to buy the groceries anymore" He said with a sad smile on his face. But it seems like his body didn't agree with his words. His hand was weakly pushing him up, his legs using the last bit of strength, trying to get up, raising the pain he felt by the second. "Hehe~" He let out a dry laugh as if making himself. "To think my will to live of all people would be this high. Should I feel proud?" He said, finally being able to stand. *Thud* *Thud* *Thud* He could hear the monster getting closer, and he, who was standing with his last strength, looked at the beast in the eyes. The beast releazed heavy breaths, a big hole on the chest leaking a lot of blood, wounds all around its body, and a missing arm. Neet couldn't walk, but he still looked at the beast and said smugly. "You ugly thing, couldn't even kill me after all this time. You must be a failure of whatever you are. Why don't you kill yourself and save me from the scent of failure that you are" The monster reacted to the provocation and dashed angrily towards Neet. Neet smiled and quickly let his body fell, making the monster miss him by a hair. The beast didn't have the strength to stop and fell right on an iron spike that swiftly pierced its neck. "You are really stupid..." Neet said that not to the monster but to himself as he looked at the big wound on his chest made by the monster's claws. Blood was flowing out. His vision was fading. He wouldn't be alive for much more time. Then, he fell to the ground, his consciousness slowly fading away. Unknowingly to him, the destroyed building started to repair itself, and the black aura around the monster slowly turned into smoke and flew towards Neet entering his body through the wounds. His body began to heal fast, and the dead 'monster' turned into a human but not for long since his body turned to ashes right after. Neet was now sleeping completely fine in a construction site while having a strange dream.
