562 Words
It was a lovely Saturday morning. The sun was beaming through the window and Sadie was watching the birds taking a sand bath. Martha came in with a tall glass of orange juice. Morning Mrs Sadie. Good morning Martha, thanks for the juice. "Martha watched Sadie take a sip of the juice and turned to walk out. Martha will you help me plan my wedding please? Mrs Sadie, I really don't think I'm the right person to ask. But Martha you would be great at it. You have a eye for the finer details. Mrs Sadie sorry but I really can't I am to busy keeping everything here in order. Sadie could see that Martha was making all sorts of excuses and she felt now more than ever that Martha is hiding something. And what are you two up to? Frank entered the room. Oh nothing much Frank. Would you mind if I asked my parents to come here and help me plan our wedding? Frank did not like this idea very much, but he won't mention it to Sadie. "Wow"! Sadie that's a brilliant idea. That way they can get to know me better and your mother can help you plan the wedding. Sadie jumped up and down, clapping her hands in excitement. Thank you Frank! She ran to the phone to call her mother and tell her the great idea. Hey mom, how are you and dad? We are doing good my child, and you? We'll mom I want to ask you something. Frank and I decided to get married! What? When? How? Sadie started laughing so hard the tears started building up under her eyes. Wait mom let me tell you. I want you and dad to come down here and help me plan our wedding. Well that's better. Goodness Sadie I thought you eloped and got married without us. I will never do that to you mom. Sure Sadie we will be there in two days time. Thanks mom I can't wait to see you and dad. Meanwhile Frank was talking to Martha in the kitchen. Martha you better keep your darn mouth shut! But Mr Frank you can't do this to Mrs Sadie, she is a lovely woman. Martha not a word I warn you! Frank was really getting at Martha now and Martha tried her best to not shout back at him. Ok Mr Frank, but I won't be part of this wedding, I refuse to take any part in it. As you wish Martha but you will keep your nose out of my business. Sadie started looking at wedding venues when she looked down at the garden. Having the reception in the garden would be great, she thought. The garden is lovely with all its different colours of flowers and the fountains rounds it of perfectly. But I must wait for my parents to arrive I really want their opinion. The day was long and Sadie could not think of anything else that she could do until her parents arrived. The colours would be white, silver and red. She wants a white dress with a long back drop and a Vail. Flowers would be red roses and brides flowers. But for now she is to tired to think. She took a shower and went to bed quite happy with all she accomplished for the day.
