It took just over half an hour for Dani to finish the last few chapters of her book. She stood up and stretched up on her tippy-toes with her arms above her head, relieving her aching legs that had been curled up. A warm tingling came through the bond, though originating in her lower stomach rather than her chest as normal. She side glanced Will, who was staring at the tv but whose ears were bright pink.
Dani flushed as the faint warmth spread pleasantly through her body. She placed the book back on the shelves and picked up her empty mug. “Do you want to help me with dinner?”
“I don’t know how to cook, I’ll probably just mess it up.” He moved his feet to the floor and sat up, looking at her dubiously.
“I can teach you.” Dani tentatively raised a hand towards him, Will looked wide-eyed
