Dani’s breath caught in her throat, her insides squirmed for a moment before she whispered her consent. Sitting up in the bed, she raised her knees and hugged her ankles like a shield in front of her. Staring at the sheets by her feet, Dani couldn’t bring herself to look at Will as he reached the top of the stairs and made his way over to sit on the side of the bed next to her.
Dani’s cheeks flushed as he turned to face her, placing his hand over one of hers. The bond sighed in happiness at the contact and went silent.
