SPIES ‎ ‎Chapter 3: A New Beginning ‎ ‎Cold waves crashed against the surface of the Atlantic Ocean as John and Mary drifted beneath the moonlit sky. The burning wreckage of the aircraft floated around them, illuminating the darkness with flickering orange flames. ‎ ‎John removed his parachute and looked around. ‎ ‎"Mary!" ‎ ‎"I'm here!" she shouted from a few meters away. ‎ ‎Relieved, he swam toward her and helped her onto a large piece of floating wreckage. ‎ ‎"Are you hurt?" he asked. ‎ ‎Mary shook her head. ‎ ‎"I'm fine... just exhausted." ‎ ‎John looked back toward the distant flames. ‎ ‎"The world will think we died tonight." ‎ ‎Mary smiled faintly. ‎ ‎"Maybe that's exactly what we need." ‎ ‎For the first time in years, they had a chance to disappear. ‎ ‎Hours later, just before sunrise, a small fishing boat spotted them drifting in the ocean. ‎ ‎The captain, an elderly man named Thomas, quickly ordered his crew to pull them aboard. ‎ ‎"You two are lucky," Thomas said while handing them warm blankets. "Another hour in that water and you might not have survived." ‎ ‎John smiled politely. ‎ ‎"Thank you." ‎ ‎Neither John nor Mary revealed who they really were. ‎ ‎To everyone else, they were simply survivors of a tragic plane crash. ‎ ‎Three days later, after giving false names to the authorities, John and Mary quietly boarded another flight to America. ‎ ‎This time, no one knew who they were. ‎ ‎No intelligence agency. ‎ ‎No criminal organization. ‎ ‎No government. ‎ ‎Their old identities had officially died over the Atlantic Ocean. ‎ ‎When the plane landed, John took a deep breath. ‎ ‎"We're finally home." ‎ ‎Mary gently placed her hand on her stomach. ‎ ‎"Our children will never know the life we left behind." ‎ ‎John nodded. ‎ ‎"They'll grow up as ordinary kids." ‎ ‎That promise became the foundation of their new life. ‎ ‎Months passed. ‎ ‎John found work as a security consultant for a technology company. ‎ ‎Mary became a nurse at a local hospital. ‎ ‎They bought a comfortable home in a peaceful neighborhood where children played in the streets and neighbors greeted one another with warm smiles. ‎ ‎For the first time in many years, they experienced a normal life. ‎ ‎Then, one beautiful autumn morning, Mary gave birth to a healthy baby boy. ‎ ‎John held the child in his arms with tears in his eyes. ‎ ‎"Welcome to the world, James." ‎ ‎Their first son, David, proudly looked at his baby brother. ‎ ‎"I'll protect him forever." ‎ ‎John smiled. ‎ ‎"I'm sure you will." ‎ ‎Years passed peacefully. ‎ ‎Another daughter, Sophia, was born. ‎ ‎Then came little Rose. ‎ ‎Their home became filled with laughter, birthday parties, family dinners, and school events. ‎ ‎The dangerous world of espionage slowly became nothing more than a memory. ‎ ‎Or so they believed. ‎ ‎Thousands of miles away, hidden beneath an abandoned factory outside London, a secret meeting was taking place. ‎ ‎The masked leader stood before dozens of armed men. ‎ ‎One of his lieutenants looked nervous. ‎ ‎"We searched the crash site." ‎ ‎"And?" the leader asked. ‎ ‎"We found no bodies." ‎ ‎Silence filled the room. ‎ ‎The leader slowly removed his damaged silver mask. ‎ ‎A scar stretched across one side of his face—the mark Mary had left during their battle. ‎ ‎He smiled. ‎ ‎"They're alive." ‎ ‎The room fell silent. ‎ ‎"Impossible," another man whispered. ‎ ‎"No," the leader replied calmly. ‎ ‎"John is too clever to die in a simple explosion." ‎ ‎He walked toward a giant screen displaying dozens of surveillance photographs collected from around the world. ‎ ‎"They've disappeared." ‎ ‎One soldier asked, "What do we do now?" ‎ ‎The leader's eyes narrowed. ‎ ‎"We wait." ‎ ‎"For how long?" ‎ ‎"As long as it takes." ‎ ‎He pointed toward a photograph of John taken years earlier. ‎ ‎"One day they'll make a mistake." ‎ ‎"And when they do..." ‎ ‎His voice became cold. ‎ ‎"We'll destroy everything they love." ‎ ‎Back in America, David grew into a bright and athletic young man. ‎ ‎Even as a child, he showed remarkable reflexes. ‎ ‎He could solve puzzles faster than anyone in his class. ‎ ‎He loved climbing trees, racing bicycles, and reading adventure books. ‎ ‎John often watched him quietly. ‎ ‎"He's just like I was." ‎ ‎Mary laughed. ‎ ‎"I was hoping he'd inherit my calm personality." ‎ ‎John smiled. ‎ ‎"I don't think that's happening." ‎ ‎James was completely different. ‎ ‎He loved taking machines apart and rebuilding them. ‎ ‎At the age of ten, he had already repaired the family's old computer. ‎ ‎By twelve, he had built a small drone from spare electronic parts. ‎ ‎Sophia amazed everyone with her intelligence. ‎ ‎Teachers described her as a genius. ‎ ‎She learned computer programming before most children learned algebra. ‎ ‎Rose, although the youngest, refused to be left behind. ‎ ‎She followed her older siblings everywhere and insisted on learning everything they knew. ‎ ‎The four children shared an unusually close bond. ‎ ‎What John and Mary didn't realize was that each of them had inherited something far more valuable than intelligence. ‎ ‎They had inherited the instincts of spies. ‎ ‎One evening, John sat alone in the basement of their house. ‎ ‎Hidden behind an old wooden shelf was a heavy steel door. ‎ ‎He unlocked it. ‎ ‎Inside was the only part of his old life he had refused to destroy. ‎ ‎Several locked cases. ‎ ‎Old passports. ‎ ‎Encrypted communication devices. ‎ ‎Two pistols. ‎ ‎A faded photograph of himself and Mary during their final mission. ‎ ‎He picked up the picture and smiled sadly. ‎ ‎"I hope we never need these again." ‎ ‎Just then, Mary entered the room. ‎ ‎"You came down here again." ‎ ‎John nodded. ‎ ‎"I was remembering." ‎ ‎Mary gently closed the metal case. ‎ ‎"Our children deserve a peaceful future." ‎ ‎John looked at her. ‎ ‎"I know." ‎ ‎"Then leave the past where it belongs." ‎ ‎He smiled. ‎ ‎"You're right." ‎ ‎Together they locked the room once more. ‎ ‎Neither of them noticed the tiny red light blinking beneath the outside security camera. ‎ ‎Someone was watching. ‎ ‎Miles away, inside a dark surveillance van, a young hacker smiled as information streamed across several computer monitors. ‎ ‎He pressed a button. ‎ ‎A satellite image of John and Mary's house appeared on the screen. ‎ ‎"We found them," he whispered. ‎ ‎Within seconds, the message reached the masked leader. ‎ ‎He stared at the image for several moments before smiling. ‎ ‎"So..." ‎ ‎"After twenty years..." ‎ ‎"The hunt begins again." ‎ ‎Far away, John and Mary sat around the dinner table with David, James, Sophia, and Rose, laughing together as if nothing had changed. ‎ ‎None of them knew that danger was already on its way. ‎ ‎The peaceful life they had built was about to come to an end. ‎ ‎ ‎SPIES ‎ ‎Chapter 4: Hidden Lives ‎ ‎Twenty years had passed since John and Mary disappeared from the world of espionage. ‎ ‎Their quiet neighborhood in America looked like the perfect place to raise a family. Every morning, children walked to school, neighbors greeted one another, and the streets were peaceful. To everyone around them, the Williams family looked completely ordinary. ‎ ‎But behind that peaceful life, every member of the family carried a secret. ‎ ‎David Williams, now twenty-one years old, stood in front of his bedroom mirror adjusting his black jacket. He smiled as his smartwatch vibrated. ‎ ‎MISSION ALERT ‎ ‎Priority Level: High ‎ ‎Location: Downtown Financial District ‎ ‎He quickly locked his bedroom door and opened a hidden compartment beneath his desk. Inside were a compact pistol, a communication earpiece, lock-picking tools, and a fake identification card. ‎ ‎James knocked on the door. ‎ ‎"Ready?" ‎ ‎David opened it and grinned. ‎ ‎"You got the message too?" ‎ ‎James nodded. ‎ ‎"Looks like another long day." ‎ ‎The two brothers quietly climbed out of the bedroom window before anyone noticed. ‎ ‎Unknown to their parents, David and James had been working as undercover agents for nearly two years. They had been recruited because of their exceptional intelligence, courage, and physical abilities. Although they officially worked with a secret American intelligence unit, they sometimes accepted dangerous undercover assignments against powerful criminal organizations. ‎ ‎They believed they were protecting innocent people. ‎ ‎What they didn't know was that they were slowly entering the same dangerous world their parents had left behind. ‎ ‎Meanwhile, inside another bedroom, Sophia sat in front of six computer monitors. ‎ ‎Lines of computer code raced across the screens. ‎ ‎Rose, only thirteen years old, leaned back in her chair while typing at incredible speed. ‎ ‎"Firewall bypassed," Rose said with a smile. ‎ ‎Sophia nodded. ‎ ‎"Good. Now let's see if we can find the source." ‎ ‎Within seconds they had traced a cyberattack targeting a hospital network. ‎ ‎"Someone is trying to steal patient records," Sophia said. ‎ ‎Rose cracked her fingers. ‎ ‎"Not today." ‎ ‎The sisters worked together with perfect teamwork. Within minutes they blocked the hackers and sent an anonymous warning to the authorities before erasing every trace of their own involvement. ‎ ‎Sophia smiled. ‎ ‎"Mission complete." ‎ ‎Neither sister realized they had just stopped members of the same criminal organization hunting their parents. ‎ ‎Downstairs, Mary finished preparing breakfast. ‎ ‎"Where are the boys?" she asked. ‎ ‎John looked toward the staircase. ‎ ‎"They're probably still asleep." ‎ ‎At that exact moment David and James quietly slipped back into the house through the garage, pretending they had just gone for a morning jog. ‎ ‎"Morning!" David said cheerfully. ‎ ‎Mary raised an eyebrow. ‎ ‎"You've been jogging before breakfast again?" ‎ ‎James laughed. ‎ ‎"We're training for a marathon." ‎ ‎John smiled. ‎ ‎"I wish I had that much energy." ‎ ‎After breakfast, John drove Sophia and Rose to school while Mary stayed home to finish some paperwork. ‎ ‎The morning felt completely normal. ‎ ‎None of them noticed the black SUV parked across the street. ‎ ‎Inside, a man wearing dark sunglasses watched the house through binoculars. ‎ ‎He spoke quietly into his radio. ‎ ‎"Target confirmed." ‎ ‎A voice answered. ‎ ‎"Maintain surveillance." ‎ ‎The man continued watching as John drove away. ‎ ‎"Our boss was right," he whispered. ‎ ‎"They're alive." ‎ ‎Far away, inside an underground command center beneath an abandoned factory near London, the masked leader stood before a massive digital map. ‎ ‎Red lights appeared across the screen. ‎ ‎One of his lieutenants entered. ‎ ‎"We've confirmed their location." ‎ ‎The leader slowly smiled. ‎ ‎"And the children?" ‎ ‎"There are four." ‎ ‎"Interesting." ‎ ‎He studied the photographs carefully. ‎ ‎"So they built the family they always wanted." ‎ ‎The lieutenant asked, "Should we eliminate them immediately?" ‎ ‎The leader shook his head. ‎ ‎"No." ‎ ‎"I want John and Mary to suffer first." ‎ ‎He pressed a button, enlarging a picture of the family. ‎ ‎"Capture the parents." ‎ ‎"If necessary..." ‎ ‎"Use the children to force them to surrender." ‎ ‎The room fell silent. ‎ ‎Every operative understood the order. ‎ ‎Back in America, David and James arrived at their agency headquarters beneath an ordinary office building. ‎ ‎Their supervisor, Agent Carter, greeted them. ‎ ‎"We have a situation." ‎ ‎He projected satellite images onto a large screen. ‎ ‎"A criminal group has entered the country using false identities. We don't know their objective, but they're heavily armed." ‎ ‎David studied the images. ‎ ‎"Any names?" ‎ ‎Agent Carter shook his head. ‎ ‎"No." ‎ ‎"They've never appeared in any intelligence database." ‎ ‎James frowned. ‎ ‎"Professionals." ‎ ‎"Exactly." ‎ ‎Neither brother realized those mysterious criminals had once tried to kill their parents. ‎ ‎At the same time, Sophia received an encrypted message on one of her secret laptops. ‎ ‎The sender was unknown. ‎ ‎The message contained only one sentence. ‎ ‎WE KNOW WHO YOUR PARENTS ARE. ‎ ‎Sophia's smile disappeared. ‎ ‎Someone had just crossed a line. ‎ ‎She immediately disconnected the computer from the internet. ‎ ‎"Rose," she said quietly. ‎ ‎"I think we've got a problem." ‎ ‎Outside, the black SUV slowly drove away from the Williams family home. ‎ ‎The driver smiled as he made a phone call. ‎ ‎"The trap is ready." ‎ ‎The hunt had officially begun. ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎Chapter 5: The Attack Begins ‎ ‎The morning sun shone brightly over the Williams family home, but John couldn't shake the strange feeling that someone was watching them. Standing by the living room window with a cup of coffee, he noticed a black SUV parked across the street. It had been there yesterday, and now it had returned. ‎ ‎Mary walked over and quietly asked, "Do you see it too?" ‎ ‎John nodded. "Whoever they are, they're not here by accident." ‎ ‎Trying not to worry the children, the couple acted normally as everyone gathered for breakfast. ‎ ‎David and James joked about school while Sophia and Rose argued over who was the better hacker. Mary smiled as she served breakfast, hiding the concern on her face. ‎ ‎After everyone finished eating, John drove Sophia and Rose to school. ‎ ‎"Have a great day," he said with a smile. ‎ ‎"You too, Dad," Rose replied. ‎ ‎Meanwhile, David and James headed toward their own academy. Before they reached the entrance, both of their smartwatches vibrated. ‎ ‎MISSION ALERT ‎ ‎David looked at James. ‎ ‎"Another emergency." ‎ ‎James sighed. "Looks like class will have to wait." ‎ ‎The brothers quietly left campus and made their way to their secret headquarters. ‎ ‎Back at the Williams house, Mary was cleaning the kitchen when every light in the house suddenly flickered. ‎ ‎Then the security cameras went offline. ‎ ‎John immediately stood up. ‎ ‎"They've cut the power." ‎ ‎A loud crash echoed from outside. ‎ ‎BOOM! ‎ ‎The front gate exploded open. ‎ ‎Several black SUVs sped onto the property, followed by heavily armed mercenaries dressed in black tactical gear. ‎ ‎One of them shouted through a loudspeaker. ‎ ‎"John and Mary! Come out now!" ‎ ‎Mary looked at John. ‎ ‎"They found us." ‎ ‎John took a deep breath. ‎ ‎"I was hoping this day would never come." ‎ ‎Without another word, they hurried toward the basement. ‎ ‎Hidden behind an old bookshelf was a reinforced steel door. John entered a security code, and the door slowly opened. ‎ ‎Inside were shelves filled with equipment they had not touched for twenty years. ‎ ‎Bulletproof suits. ‎ ‎Encrypted radios. ‎ ‎Smoke grenades. ‎ ‎Combat knives. ‎ ‎Several locked weapon cases. ‎ ‎Mary gently ran her hand across one of the cases. ‎ ‎"I never thought we'd open these again." ‎ ‎John unlocked the first case. ‎ ‎Inside rested the two pistols he had carried on his final mission. ‎ ‎He checked them carefully before handing one to Mary. ‎ ‎She smiled. ‎ ‎"Still feels familiar." ‎ ‎John loaded fresh magazines into both weapons. ‎ ‎"Let's make sure our family survives today." ‎ ‎Outside, the mercenaries smashed windows and searched every room. ‎ ‎"The house is empty!" ‎ ‎"They're hiding somewhere!" ‎ ‎Their commander pointed toward the back of the house. ‎ ‎"Search everything!" ‎ ‎John activated the basement cameras. ‎ ‎"There are more than thirty of them." ‎ ‎Mary looked at the screen. ‎ ‎"And they're well trained." ‎ ‎John smiled slightly. ‎ ‎"So are we." ‎ ‎He pressed a hidden switch. ‎ ‎Outside, a massive concrete security block slid down the steep driveway, crashing into two enemy SUVs. ‎ ‎CRASH! ‎ ‎The attackers scattered in every direction. ‎ ‎"What was that?" one shouted. ‎ ‎Before they could recover, smoke grenades rolled beneath their feet. ‎ ‎Thick white smoke covered the entire front yard. ‎ ‎John grabbed Mary's hand. ‎ ‎"Let's go." ‎ ‎The couple sprinted through a hidden tunnel leading to a secret garage beneath the house. ‎ ‎Waiting inside was a black armored SUV. ‎ ‎Mary climbed into the passenger seat while John started the engine. ‎ ‎The garage door burst open. ‎ ‎The vehicle shot onto the road just as several mercenaries realized what had happened. ‎ ‎"They're escaping!" ‎ ‎The commander grabbed his radio. ‎ ‎"All units! Pursue them!" ‎ ‎The chase had begun. ‎ ‎As John drove through traffic, Mary picked up a secure satellite phone. ‎ ‎She called David first. ‎ ‎David answered immediately. ‎ ‎"Hi, Mom." ‎ ‎"David," Mary said firmly, "listen carefully. Meet your father and me at the airport immediately. Bring James with you." ‎ ‎"What's happening?" ‎ ‎"I'll explain later. Just come." ‎ ‎The call ended. ‎ ‎David looked at James. ‎ ‎"Something's wrong." ‎ ‎James didn't hesitate. ‎ ‎"Let's move." ‎ ‎They rushed out of headquarters and headed for the airport. ‎ ‎Mary then called Sophia. ‎ ‎"Sophia, where are you?" ‎ ‎"School." ‎ ‎"I'm coming to get you and Rose. Wait by the front entrance." ‎ ‎"Mom... is everything okay?" ‎ ‎"No," Mary admitted quietly. "But it will be if we stay together." ‎ ‎Within minutes, John pulled up outside the school. ‎ ‎Sophia and Rose quickly got into the SUV. ‎ ‎Rose looked at the worried expressions on her parents' faces. ‎ ‎"Dad... what's happening?" ‎ ‎John kept his eyes on the road. ‎ ‎"I'll tell you when we're safe." ‎ ‎Sophia glanced out of the rear window. ‎ ‎"Mom..." ‎ ‎Mary turned around. ‎ ‎"We're being followed." ‎ ‎Three black SUVs had joined the chase. ‎ ‎Their engines roared as they closed the distance. ‎ ‎John tightened his grip on the steering wheel. ‎ ‎"It looks like our peaceful life is over." ‎ ‎Far behind them, inside one of the pursuing vehicles, the masked leader watched the family's SUV through the windshield. ‎ ‎A cold smile spread across his face. ‎ ‎"Run while you can, John," he whispered. ‎ ‎"This time... there's nowhere left to hide." ‎ ‎The chase toward the airport had only just begun. ‎
