Greyson’s POV
The howl did not belong to any wolf under the Moon Goddess.
I knew that instantly.
Every creature in the forest knew it too.
As it has never been heard before at least in a long time.
Birds burst from the trees.
Warriors on the outer perimeter staggered as if struck.
Even the rogues lost formation.
Fear spreads through them like wildfire.
Good. They were scared, I was happy about that.
For once, it wasn’t my aura causing it.
Zara collapsed forward, and I caught her before she hit the ground.
She was exhausted,I could see at how she just collapsed and body limp.
Silver light still clung to her skin in fading strands, disappearing beneath the moonlight like mist.
She was trembling.
Breathing too fast.
Eyes unfocused.
“Zara.”
I called out.
