I tightly shut my eyes as I woke up to the sunlight shining on my face. I groaned and covered my face with a pillow. I let out a whimper as I felt a pain in the middle of my body caused by the man who was no longer beside me.
I opened my eyes with realization. I sat up and glanced at the clock on the wall. It was already ten in the morning, and I was certain it was time for me to leave the room I was in. Addie would surely greet me with a teasing smile as soon as I go out of this room.
I was already exhausted at this point. I flopped back onto the bed and attempted to go back to sleep when the door opened.
"Oh, my wife is awake..."
"I'm still sleepy, and I don't want to go outside just to be teased by Addie—"
"Addie left."
I got up at what he said. "She what?!"
