I hurriedly approached Pisces, holding Aegeus in my arms. From a distance, I could see the strained look on my husband's face.
“Daddy!” Aegeus immediately hugged him, quickly letting go of my hand.
“What happened to Granny, Daddy?” Aegeus asked as his father lifted him and hugged him from behind.
“She’s sick so the doctors are treating her,” Pisces replied.
“Is she going to be okay?”
“O-of course, she will.”
I turned to my son, “Baby, you should eat first. Come with Uncle Johnson,” I said to my son, who initially shook his head but then seemed to understand as he nodded after thinking.
“Thank you,” I said to Johnson as he carried Aegeus away.
Once they were out of sight, I faced Pisces. His eyes showed exhaustion.
