"I’M DONE… so done. No more chasing. No more playing. No more love…" Addie muttered, her words slurring as her eyes slowly closed until she fell asleep.
I sighed as she hugged the bottle of vodka she had finished alone. I took it from her and struggled to adjust her position on the bed. It was past midnight, and she had already consumed several bottles of alcohol. Finally, she fell asleep.
"Addie will regret drinking you tomorrow morning…" I spoke to the bottle with a hint of annoyance in my voice.
I cleaned up the mess Addie had made before lying down beside her. I closed my eyes, but after a few minutes, sleep eluded me. Despite the air conditioning in the room, I felt hot.
