At that moment Leo's face hardened. The man who kept his calm was gone, and someone who fed off the anger inside him took his place. After a moment of silence, he quickly drew the gun behind him and pointed it.

''Enough already!'' he exploded, his voice echoed throughout the room, ''I'm tired of both of you. This ridiculous game is over now.''

His eyes locked on mine; there was neither anger nor mercy in him. He was just forcing me to make a decision.

At that moment my heart started to beat rapidly as if it was going to come out of my chest. My breathing became irregular, the air that filled my lungs seemed to be insufficient. My vision was darkening, everything around me was blurring.

I tried to stay on my feet for a moment, but I was losing control. My knees were shaking, my feet seemed to be leaving the ground. The fear and helplessness rising inside me had dominated my body.

When I tried to look around one last time, Leo was still counting. At that moment, a dark curtain had fallen over my eyes. Before I had a chance to catch my breath, my body became heavy and I suddenly lost myself. My world had suddenly turned into darkness and emptiness.

I slowly opened my eyes. But darkness... Everything was pitch black. I tried to understand where I was, but the silence and the unknown around me were making me shiver.

I slowly sat up, the place I was in was pitch black curtains and a bed covered with burgundy sheets, the walls were vague shadows. This unfamiliar room had spread a feeling of uneasiness inside me. I stood up, my body staggered slightly, but I quickly regained my balance. My eyes turned to the direction of the curtains, I opened the curtains with my trembling hands and a thin ray of sunlight filtered in.

The sunlight suddenly illuminated the room and everything in the room started to become clearer. The paintings hanging on the wall and the cabinets in the room were now clearer. When I approached the window again and looked out through the curtain I opened, a strange feeling suddenly appeared inside me. I realized that I was in a room in a very tall building. When I looked down, what I saw was a huge garden arranged like a labyrinth. The shadows moving in the garden caught my attention. When I looked more carefully, I noticed that there were many guards patrolling the area. The weapons in their hands and their attitudes clearly showed that something was not ordinary here. My eyes fell on the man sitting a little further away. I couldn't see his face; when he turned his back to me and I saw that it was Leo, I immediately stepped back.

''Where am I? Where is my father?'' I whispered, the questions I asked myself echoed in the silence of the room.

When I looked ahead immediately, the only way out was the door and I walked quickly towards it. I reached for the cold metal handle of the door and tried to open it. But in vain. The door was locked. I forced the door with my hands, turned the handle once more, but the result was the same. My patience had run out. I started hitting the door with all my might. ''Get me out of here! Do you hear me? Get me out!'' I shouted desperately, my voice echoing in the room. At that very moment, I heard the sound of the door being unlocked and I took a few steps back, my eyes locked on the door. My breathing quickened, my hands were covered in sweat. When the door slowly opened, I raised my gaze to see who it was. Leo Pasion was standing in front of me. He stepped into the room calmly, the stern expression on his face made me even more nervous.

"So you're awake, Lara?" he said, his voice calm but threatening. "Do you want to get out of here? Then you'll have to follow my rules."

My eyes locked on his, the words were knotted in my throat. Being this close to Leo was both frightening and confusingly familiar.

"How did I get here? And where is my father?" I asked, gathering all my courage. My voice was trembling with anxiety. How complicated everything was. While a lot of questions were going on in my head, Leo's coldness and tough stance made me even more afraid.

Leo was right, my father had taken his money for something. If I could pay it off somehow, I would get out of here. This seemed like my only way out. I thought of a plan and decided to talk to Leo again. In the evening, the guard opened the door and entered to bring food. I told him, "I want to see Leo." The guard replied, "Eat your food!" without looking at me. I repeated my words resolutely. "I won't eat my yam until Leo comes," I said. The bodyguard gave up in the face of my determined stance and left your room to call Leo.
