Avery intently stared at her room's ceiling while lying on her bed as she thought about the confrontation between her and her friends earlier. Just recalling the scenario inside her head makes her heart squeezed. She suddenly hit her forehead when she remembered leaving Xanthite alone in the garden. "I'm so stupid. He must be angry." She bit her lower-lip as she imagined Xanthite holding a knife infront of her. Out of the sudden, Avery remembered that Xanthite didn't got mad, shouted nor hurted her physically when she didn't showed up last Sunday which makes her wonder why. She grabbed her phone when it suddenly beeped. The corner of her lip rose when she saw Ivan texted her. [Ivan : Hey!] [Avery : Whassup?] Avery immediately replied when she remember that she loaded her phone yesterday. [Ivan : Where are you?] [Avery : In my room. Why did you texted me?] [Ivan : I'm bored and I want someone to talk to and it will be perfect if it's you.] Avery turned off her phone and squealed. Boys like Ivan really knows how to make a girl like her blushed. She turned on her phone after releasing a squeal. [Avery : And how come it has something to do with me?] [Ivan : Exactly, I don't know either.] Avery laughed. She never thought that Ivan can be this humorous. [Avery : Where are you now?] [Ivan : In Xanthite's condo unit. We are currently practicing our music.] [Avery : Xanthite has a condo?] [Ivan : Yeah, why? Do you know each other?] Avery sat properly with her back rested on the wall. She was surprised to know that Xanthite owns a condo unit. Is he not contented living under a luxurious mansion? [Avery : It's not like that. I guess Xanthite is very rich.] [Ivan : Superb! His parents are billionaires and Xanthite is said to be the Billionaire Heir.] Avery could feel her jaw dropped. She never thought that Xanthite is sooo rich and Avery is glad that even though Xanthite is that rich, he never show-off around the crowds unlike other rich kids. [Avery : Why didn't Xanthite sang with you, guys?] She asked when she remembered them singing Bad Liar. [Ivan : I don't know. Maybe he just don't like singing? Even us, his bandmates, don't know the reason why since we never heard him sing before.] [Avery : He's a weird guy.] [Ivan : Yeah and maybe we should stop talking about him? You know, let's get to know each other more.] [Avery : If that's what you want, my dear textmate.] . "Avery, can you please put your phone away from the dining table?" Her Father told her when her phone keep on beeping. "Y-yes. Sorry." She grabbed her phone and turned it off before she hid it inside her pocket. They were having dinner but before that, Ivan and Avery talked alot of things. She was surprised to know that Ivan has no girlfriend eversince birth. How can a Hottie like him never had any girlfriends?! Avery thought that Ivan was just playing around since it's nearly impossible. Avery wanted to talk about it more but her parents called her for dinner. "What's running on inside your head?" She shook her head. "Nothing. I just feel exhausted, I have a long day." She stretched her arms and stood up. "Take a good rest, darling!" "I will, Mom!" She hurridly went upstairs and entered her room. She sat on her bed and turned on her phone. She saw Ivan left a message. [Ivan : Just waiting for a perfect girl.] Avery unconsciously smiled. Ivan has alot of patience and a very polite guy which makes him the opposite of Xanthite. [Avery : What's your ideal girl? You're picky when it comes to girls, surely you are.] [Ivan : I guess, you're right. I'm so picky because my ideal type is the only kind of girl in the world.] [Avery : So cheessy, Ivan.] Avery was laughing while typing. She never thought that Ivan could be so corny..... and sweet. The girl that he was talking about is surely fortunate to make Ivan fell for her. [Ivan : Chessy? Well, i really don't care cause my ideal girl is no other than a girl named Avery Houston. Yeah, you read it right. You are my ideal type.] Avery suddenly dropped her phone. She could feel her heart throbbing so fast as a cheetah. Avery was catching her breath as she bend down to get her phone from the floor. She read Ivan's message, countless times just to make sure that she's not dreaming. [Avery : You're joking, right? Hahahah!] She typed with an intense face as she wait for Ivan to reply. The large sound of her beating heart filled the room. [Ivan : No, I'm not. I'm serious, Ave.] Avery's hands are shaking as she typed a reply to Ivan. [Avery : Why?] . Avery was walking around the campus, dumbfoundedly. She still can't get Ivan's text out of her mind. It was 11 in the morning and Avery sat when she saw a vacant bench. It's because you're the only girl who makes me feel complete. She can now imagine Ivan singing infront of her. She smiled unconsciously just the thought of Ivan serenading her makes her go crazy. "What the!" She blurted out when an empty bottle hit her head. She touched the part of her head where the bottle hit her. She felt an ache because of the speed of the bottle. She turned around to see who did it and she didn't expect to see Xanthite leaning against the tree while eating some crackers. "What is your problem, huh?!" She shouted angrily at him. Avery began to feel pissed when Xanthite just shrugged and smirked at her. She glared at him as she went towards Xanthite while stamping. "What the hell is your problem, Xanthite Anderson?!" She saw Xanthite's eyebrows twitched and the smirk on his face faded. "Don't you know that what you just did made my head ache?" "I don't know. So confusing that I don't feel any ache on my head." Avery began to breathe heavily and rolled her palm. Every students that are busy talking about projects, walking towards their next subject, reading some books suddenly stopped from what they are doing. Everybody felt their jaw dropped, some squeezed their eyes just to confirm if they are awake. Xanthite smiled as the blood flow from the side of his lip. Avery can't believe that she just punched him, not just him..... but it is no other than Xanthite Anderson, the badboy of Beethoven Academy. Avery was confused when Xanthite smiled. "Good to know that you can punched stronger than Ivan." He chuckled before wiping his blood using the back of his palm. "There's nothing to see here. F*ck off!" The students pretended to be very busy when Xanthite shouted. "You're rude." "Well, that's what makes me, me." "Sorry for leaving you the other day." His face became serious. "Me and my friends had a fight and I can't still face them. I need some more time." "Guess, you already found it out. Michael and Anthony tried to convinced Neria and Yuna to tell you but they said that they fear on what your reaction will be." Avery was surprised when Xanthite knew the reason why. "Why do you want to meet me at Saavedra Elementary School?" "It's because I want to show you something. I rather won't tell you now." . In their subjects, Neria, Yuna, and Avery pretended like they don't know each other. They only talk if it's really necessary. Avery also got the chance to communicate with her other classmates oftenly. "Oh, girl. Among the members, Xanthite is the only one who you can't pleased. I won't be surprised to see her crying." "I like Xanthite but I never had motived to confess to him. It will be stupid just like her." "She's crazy." "Poor girl. Xanthite will just slapped her." Avery can't understand what they are talking about but she knew that Xanthite is involve and a 'her' person. "Where is Xanthite?" "In the Quadrangle. I'm on my way there too." Avery followed where the crowds are moving. She stopped when she saw Xanthite looking at the girl who is infront of him holding a juice and a packed snack. So sweet! Xanthite, don't be rude to her or I'll punch you in the face again. Avery was biting her lower-lip as she was listening to the girl's speech. The girl is taller than Avery, has a cute bangs with pink hairclip and a cute chubby cheeks. "I-i hope you would like this, I baked it. I-i like you, Hit--" The crowds gasped when Xanthite suddenly grabbed the juice from the girl's hand and pour it over her head. Xanthite pour all the juice until the bottle is empty. Avery's forehead immedaitely creased because of Xanthite's action. Avery went out of the crowds. She won't mind what everyone would think. She grabbed the empty bottle from his hand and hit him in the face using it. "Don't you have some manners?! Tsk, Idiot." She said to him before turning her back. Avery gently held the girl's elbow and went out of the crowds. She heard Xanthite's shout causing everyone to leave and pretended like nothing happened. "Sorry about him. He's a short-tempered kind of person." Avery said as she helped her clean herself. "T-there's nothing wrong about him. I'm just stupid." Avery immediately went to hugged her when she started to sob. "No, you are not stupid. Okay? A heartless guy like him wouldn't understand a cute girl like you." Avery held both of her cheeks. "Thank you. I'm Maddie Ruiz, by the way." "Avery. Avery Houston." . While Avery was lining up in the bus station, she suddenly saw Xanthite looking at her intently. He is sitting inside the bus beside the window. Avery went inside the bus and sat beside him. She could feel that Xanthite felt her presence. "Have you realized, what you did was wrong?" Avery asked him when the driver started the bus' engine. "I did nothing wrong." He said in a firm voice which made Avery laughed sarcastically. "Yeah, right. I don't know if you're just protecting your ego or anything." "Everyone knows how I hate to be called by stupid names." Avery rolled her eyes. "Don't you think that you are being unreasonable and what's the problem of being called Hit? It's a cool name." Xanthite didn't replied as his eyes were focused on the window's view. "Maybe, you should apologize to her." Avery stopped and realized what she had said. Gosh, I forgot that he doesn't know how to apologize. "I mean, you should be less rude to anyone. Aren't you bother walking around the campus knowing that everyone fears you?" "I'm not bothered since it's better to be feared than to be loved." Avery could feel the sadness in his voice. "I-i'm sorry for hitting you earlier. I was mad. I can't afford to see Maddie being embarrassed..... Don't you think that she could suffer depression because of what you did? Meet me this Saturday at Saavedra Elementary School." . "Avery, your bag is in the living room." "Thanks, Mom." Avery grabbed her purse before kissing her Mom goodbye. Avery went to the bus stop to wait for a bus. She'll be commuting since her Father was out to check the construction site in Florida. "Where to?" The Bus Conductor asked her. "Saavedra Elementary School." Avery took her coins out of her pocket before handing it to the conductor. The bus perfectly stopped infront of the school gate. Avery went out of the bus and she immediately saw Xanthite. He looks so awesome wearing anything..... maybe, nothing? Avery slightly shook her head because of her dirty thoughts. Xanthite was wearing a blue and red stripes polo shirt. His hair were not combed which makes him look more like a hottie. "Goodmorning." Avery greeted him with a smile but he just nodded. "So, we are here and now, what are we going to do?" "Follow me." Avery grabbed his arms. Avery waved her hands to call a taxi and immediately went inside. . "Tadaa!" Avery was smiling from ear to ear when they arrived. She glanced at Xanthite's face and her smile immediately fades when his face were frowning. ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST CHAPLAINCY.
