[Avery's POV]
I was walking unconsciously. My mind was so clouded with thoughts because of what Esmeralda said. I couldn't feel my body anymore. My heart was numb. I was hurt when I found out the real reason why he didn't contact us. I was hurt knowing that he didn't told us the truth because we might pity him.
I went down and saw my friends already seating in a long table with foods on top of it. They haven't started eating yet and it appeared like they are really waiting for me.
"Let's eat." I said and smiled at them when I reached my seat beside Emman and Anthony. I didn't gave anyone of them a single glance.
