"I have the perfect outfit!" Stephon had pulled in a female member of the pack to help find me clothes. She was blonde with wild curls that went to the mid of her back. Her eyes were bright blue and her skin was a beautiful olive tone. She looked a lot like Chris now that I'm looking at her.
"What is it?" Stephon eagerly asked. He was dressed in a dress in casual, yet nice, clothing. I guessed the clothes he wore earlier were now no good. I blushed at the memory. I didn't think he liked to show off too much. I glanced at him with a smile on my face. He had me in his shirt that was just big enough to cover what needed covering. He told me this girl, Lily, would kill to play dress up with me.
"Oh! Your hair is red and you have fair olive skin!" She shifted through the rack she rolled in. "Ah-ha!" She said excitedly pulling out a dark green dress. I bit my lip and worry washed over her.
"What is it, my Luna?" She panicked. I shook my head.
"I just...never worn a dress before." I said ashamed. I may have worn one when I was a baby, but those years were long behind me.
"I haven't worn a dress since..." my voice trailed off. "Well, since my mother was killed. I was three." Her face dropped. She plopped to her knees in front of me, putting her warm hands on my bare knees.
"I'm so sorry that has happened. I can pick something else out! Please forgive me!" She whispered. Tears rimming her eyes. I shook my head.
"It was a long time ago." I smiled. "How about you help me change that?" I bent down to be at eye level as I spoke. Her eyes instantly light up and I gave her a smile. She jumps to her feet and claps her hands, jumping up and down with excitement.
"Oh my Goddess! I'm my Luna's fashion director!" She squeaked. I couldn't help but laugh. I looked to Stephon who smiled sadly towards me. It was the first time I told anyone that. Father always told me to ignore questions people held to me. So I did. Shortly after was when the abuse started. I know Stephon will want to ask all sorts of questions tonight. I have a pocket full of my own as well.
'We can talk tonight. For now, worry about trying on too many dresses.' I looked at him confused. He told me we would be able to talk in our minds from now on after he marked me. We could sense each other's feelings and thoughts. I just made an ‘oh’ with my mouth and pointed my pointer finger in the air, bounding it up and down. I understood what he meant now.
All of Lily's words seem to become one massive word. It's like she wasn't breathing.
"Lily." Stephon said. She snapped her neck to look at him, becoming silent. "You can get her to wear everything eventually, okay? But for now, nothing too fancy," He said pointing to the floor length black gown she had just grabbed. "But nothing that will be below her status."
"HA!" Lily smirked. "Anything but a princess gown would be for myLuna! She'll look so good in anything too!" She raised her hands, both with a dress in them. "She is the most beautiful-est Luna ever!" I heard him laugh at her response.
"She is the most beautiful woman I have ever laid my eyes upon." He was looking right into my eyes as he said that. It made my heart skip and Sasha purr. I blushed.
"You know, sometimes I forget you're only 15, Lily." She puffed her cheeks.
"Okay! Boys out!" She demanded. Yet she looked like she was pleading with her eyes. She's what they call a Beta. She falls below us, so in terms, she can't order us to do anything. But, Stephon seems to allow such silliness from her. He sighs and nods.
"Okay!" He raised his hands in defeat. "I have some Alpha stuff to get to anyways. I'll be back for my woman in an hour." He looks at me and winks. "Don't drown in clothing, baby girl." My heart pounds as my face becomes hot. Will he ever not have this effect on me?
"Okay!" She closes the door behind Stephon after pushing him out, turns to me and claps her hands together.
"Should I be nervous?" She laughs evilly at my response. Yes, I should. I'm definitely going to drown in clothes.
After an hour of trying clothes on, and with a lot of help, she helps me pick out three of my favorites. As if summoned, Stephon walked through the door. Lily grabs his arm and pulls him to the bed where the three dresses lay. One was a pure red sundress, another was a green dress that was simple, and lastly was a white dress that was loose fitting with a tie around the waist giving off beach vibes.
"Green." Stephon grabbed the dress, smiling, and held it up to me. "I like the green!" He was looking at me like a kid in a candy store. I grinned back at him before snatching the dress and telling him to turn around with a twirl of my finger. He raised his brow.
"Shoo. Don't need to cause a scene." I knew he knew what I meant. He let out a breathy laugh before turning. Lily and I looked at each other. She pointed her finger to her mouth and stuck it out making the 'gag me' look. I laughed and she smiled.
The dress was knee length with long sleeves and a soft sweetheart neckline. The bodice hugged my body and the skirt flowed. I loved it. I smiled and looked up to Stephons' eyes that gleamed at me.
"I love it." He smiled. "Shall we meet the family now? They were so eager!" I hold up a finger, getting nervous. Then I looked in the mirror.
"I haven't brushed my hair or anything though. I look so incomplete. Like someone dressed up a broken doll…." Lily gasped and ran out. She had an idea. I just waited until she ran back with a bag. She held them up proudly.
"I got you covered, Luna!" She set everything down and before I could protest she's rubbing stuff on my face. It smells like roses. It felt nice being pampered for once. Strange, yet new, but I liked it. So, I let Lily do her thing. She gave me BB cream and mascara.
"Our Luna is so pretty she doesn't really need this but, first impressions are important!" She beamed. She sorted through her bag and scowled. "I don't have a lip color that'd go well... bummer. I'll go out later and get something!"
"I have some." I told her about my red tinted gloss and she smiled.
"I knew you'd have something!" She grabbed my bag going through it. My heart paused as she pulled out a bloody outfit. She didn't look twice at them or make a move that wavered her from finding the gloss. I sighed a breath of relief once she found it, holding it up like gold as she popped the cap off.
"Perfect!" She dabbed it on my lips being careful to not hit my busted lip. She frowned.
"How did you get hurt?" She asked. "If anyone ever hurts you I'll rip them to shreds!" She puffed. I couldn't help but smile. She straightened her back.
“I may not have my wolf yet, but I can still pack a punch!” She held up a fist.
"It's okay. He can't hurt me anymore." She glanced back at the blood stained clothes on the floor and back at me. She hugged me tightly.
"Oh!" She let me go. "Let's fix that hair and get you out to your pack!" She plugged in the straightener and went to work on my messy hair.
