"Oh. My. Goodness!" I groaned as I bit into a mouthwatering piece of French toast. The buttery cinnamon flavored toast almost melts in my mouth with every bite. I was now sitting in the largest kitchen known to man after my talk with Stephon. The pack members needed time to finish up cooking, so we chatted as we waited. The floors made of white marble accompanied by dark gray walls, white cabinets that lined the entirety of the kitchen and white marble countertops. I'd never seen such a stove either! This thing had six burners, not to mention, they had two side by side.
I smiled at Stephon as he sat by me with a full plate of French toast, eggs, bacon, and sausages. Boy did he grab the works! Just as I thought there couldn't be more, an Omega named Silvia, set a large plate full of pancakes down in front of me. My eyes felt like they were about to bulge out of their sockets. I glanced up at her. She was around five foot seven inches with shoulder-length chocolate brown hair. Her eyes were large and round with the deepest brown eyes. Her thick lashes curled naturally, making her have no need for mascara or any make-up for that matter. She had a slender build, long legs and long fingers.
"The others will be down soon. It's best ya' eat up while ya' can!" Her slight country accent was somehow comforting. She let out a small giggle at me before quickly turning around to work along side the other Omegas in cooking the rest of the food for the pack. I swallowed the food I was chewing before looking at Stephon. He was scarfing the food down like his life depended on it. While crewing, he grabbed pancakes, slapping a few on his plate before drowning them in syrup.
Just then, I heard a set of footsteps running towards us. I glanced in the other direction to look at the doorway and in came Chris. I finally was able to look at this guy who helped me. He was about an inch shorter than Stephon. I'd say five foot nine inches tall. His dirty blonde hair was pulled up into a man bun, and his beard had grown a bit making him look a bit scruffy. He wore a white shirt with a jean jacket and a pair of jeans. His boots made a slight tapping sound as he stepped. He smiled as he entered, looking at Silvia's back. He bit his lip and came to sit by me.
"Good morning, Luna Alexis." He greeted me, putting more emphasis on my name. I smiled.
"Good morning, Beta Chris." I replied, emphasizing his name back at him. He chuckled as he grabbed a plate full of food and started to eat.
As we finished up eating, the house roared with life once again. I quickly picked up my plate and took it to the sink to wash it. An older Omega whose name I had not yet learned, rushed over.
"Oh, my dear Luna! I can wash that for you!" She said, holding her hands out to take my plate. It felt odd having someone else cook for me let alone do my dishes. It was odd enough to just be able to sit down and eat!
"Oh no. No, really. It's fine! I can wash it." I said in a low voice. I looked down at my plate and began to rinse it off. I could feel eyes on me as I scrubbed the plate and fork spotless. Once it was cleaned and rinsed, I quickly and quietly placed it on the dish rack to dry. All I could hear was the pounding of my heart in my ears as I turned and dashed out the kitchen towards the stairs.
"Who are you?" A booming voice asked. I looked up at the stairs towards the voice. In front of me was a large man. Dark skin, dark eyes, his black hair was in a short buzz cut, and he was rippled with muscles. His tight black t-shirt and gray sweats hid nothing. Panic set in the pit of my stomach as more men started down the stairs behind him. Their smiling faces quickly dropped as they assessed me. I felt the delicious food I had just had threaten to come up at any moment.
"Well, well, well." A guy said from behind the first man. It was Mike. A creepy curve came to the corner of his lips as he took slow steps down towards me. He stopped in front of me. He smelt of fresh cut grass and soil in the summertime. I flinched as he pinched my chin between his fingers and pulled my face up to look at him. His dark eyes were piercing into my very soul.
"Not really pretty. Prety scrawnmy though. You're no Luna material." He chuckled. The blood drained from my face as fear rushed through my bones. My stomach twisted into a knot as a lump arose to the back of my throat.
"Don't touch her." Stephen's voice was a low growl. Everyone looked away from me and to their Alpha. The man dropped his hand and went into a parade rest stance.
"Sir." Confidence oozed from his voice now. "I know her from school and I don't think she will be right-"
"She is your Luna!" Stephon's voice boomed through the silent house. A few mouths dropped and glances were thrown my way. I needed to get out of here. I felt my breakfast coming up and didn't want that to be everyone's first impression of me.
