"Your mate? Luna?" So many questions circled in my head. I felt my brow furrow. Confusion washed over his face. He placed his hands on my shoulders yet again. "You...don't know?" He seemed as surprised as me! I shook my head. The rummaging paused and I looked towards the blonde guy who had an equally perplexed expression as the man in front of me. "Know what!?" The car ride to his home was long. Longer than expected. During the ride, I found out the dark haired man's name was Stephon Lee and his blonde friend was Chris. He was an Alpha of a werewolf pack. Yes, you hear that right: werewolves. They were real, and I was one of them and I wasn't alone. He told me everything he could on the three-hour drive. The voice in my head, Sasha, and how she was my inner wolf. That we are one in the same. He has one, too. His name is Dale. He also told me about the whole 'mate' thing. The reason Sasha and I wanted him so badly. He felt the same, too. It's what happens when you find the one the Moon Goddess chose for you. It's nearly impossible to reject them. If you do, your body is filled with pain unlike any you've felt. "So..." I was deep in thought when I questioned him. "In the woods... You weren't rejecting me and I you...." I tailed off. It was supposed to be a question. He smirked and nodded. "I had a mate. I found her when I was eighteen. However, she didn't want me." He shrugged as if it were nothing. "But, then how could I be your mate?" Legit question, right? "We're granted a second one sometimes. If the Goddess allows it." Boy, that smile of his made my heart skip. Man could light up a room with it. His eyes smiled like crescent moons. "So, now I'm your mate." I confirmed. "Yes." My body felt light when he said that. I couldn't believe my life had changed so fast. All in one day, I find out I'm a werewolf, I meet my mate, have my first transformation, and leave that house of horrors. He won't ever be able to follow me either. My body felt overjoyed at this, yet it was so exhausting. Only now is it settling in just how tired I really was. My eyes felt heavy the more I thought of it. "You can sleep. We have an hour left until we're home." I looked at him. He reaches up and lightly brushes his fingers against my cheek. Could he sense I was tired? Is that a wolf thing too? He chuckled. "Call it a wolf thing, but I can sense your feelings and I can tell you're tired." "Oh that's pretty cool!" I mumbled. "Also, it doesn't take a bond to show how today's events have worn you down. Actually," He glances at his wristwatch. "Yesterday." He sighs and looks back at me. "It's almost one in the morning. Sleep, I'll wake you when we arrive." And with his words my body relaxed. He pulled me closer to him and I rested my head on his chest. I wrapped my arms around his torso, pulling myself as close as I could. Oh boy, I may not have seen them, but I could feel those muscles of his under his shirt. I smiled to myself. Looking out the wind one last time. It was pitch dark as Chris drove silently so as to not interrupt us. "Thank you." I said quietly. I could feel Stephon looking down at me. "Thank you, Chris. For driving." I glanced up at the rear view mirror to see him looking back at me and smiled. His hazel eyes lit up. "It's my pleasure, Luna." I rolled my eyes. "I have a name. It's Alexis." Being called Luna is going to take some getting used to. I still didn’t fully grasp this whole thing. "Yes, Luna Alexis." He is going to be the biggest pain in my ass, I thought to myself as I smiled. “Oh,” I looked up to Stephon. “What happened to my….” My question trailed off, recalling the scene. He sighed and placed a hand on my head, petting me. “Don’t worry about it for now.” That was all he was going to say. When we were leaving, more guys showed up to take over. I was ushered out before I knew what they were doing. I bit my lip and just laid back on his chest and was out before I knew it. "Baby girl..." I heard someone whisper. It was his voice that I heard through the sleepy haze. I didn't want to wake up just yet. I was still so tired. I inhaled deeply and his scent filled my senses. I smiled. "Aren't you hungry?" He chuckled. Yes, I was very hungry. I have not eaten in a while. The last thing I could recall was eggs. I stretched my body, releasing his warm body. I turned over and curled back into a ball. I could hear him laugh. "Wake up, my Luna." He whispered in my ear. "Everyone has been awaiting your arrival." That's right. I need to meet my new family. That's when I realized I'm in a bed. My eyes fly open to the most elegant room I've ever seen. The morning sun glistened off the dark wooden floors. There was a fuzzy looking black rug on the floor in the center of the room. A white desk accompanied by a white chair. the computer screen was off, reflecting the scene outside. I looked towards where the reflection came from and found myself gawking at the glass wall. A book shelf stood floor to ceiling full of books and beside it the most beautiful scene. The forest in the morning was breathtaking. The sun kissed the sky making it blush a beautiful red and pink. Arms wrapped around my abdomen from behind and he pulled me closer. I flinched as he pressed his lips on my neck. 'He won't hurt us. Now. Brush your teeth!' Sasha pulled me from my mind. Oh, I don't need him smelling that dragon breath, I thought to Sasha. I could sense her smile. I jumped out of bed and out of his arms. I found my bag next to the bed. I picked it up and turned to him. "Um..may I...Bathroom?" I asked. He smiled and pointed behind him. He was already dressed in jeans and a button up black shirt. His hair was neatly combed back. "Next door on the right." I skipped as I went towards the bathroom. I look at myself in the mirror after flicking the light on. Not that it was needed. It seems like every room here is partially made of windows. I glanced around the bathroom. Its walls were white with black tile flooring. Red towels hung off the silver bar on the wall. I dug through my bag, grabbing my toothbrush and toothpaste. I quickly started brushing as I glanced around the center wall, more of a pillar made of dark river rocks. Turning on the water caused a waterfall to flow from a faucet about seven feet high. The water warmed up fast. I really could use a shower to freshen up before meeting my new family. I quickly finished brushing my teeth and undressed, jumping into the shower. The warmth turned my skin pink quickly as it soaked in the warmth. I turned my back to it and the water flowed through my hair. I heard the patter of feet coming to the bathroom. Panic spread through me as I paused. The door opened and my heart just about jumped out my chest. Stephons' scent filled the steamy bathroom. "I-I'm sorry. I'll get out now!" I was scared I had crossed the boundaries. I went to turn the water off. "Am I invited?" He asked.
