The grand tour

I wake up before either of my friends. For starters cause I was excited, but mainly cause I was being cautious.

For all I know that vampire could be watching my every move waiting for the right time to jump me. I thought to myself.

I take my bath, making sure to use the way too luxurious and big bathtub that am sure could fit more than ten people.

I like waking up on time it gives me time for myself and time to think.

I don't know how many hours passed by while I was enjoying the luxury that life has to offer but eventually I knew I had to leave the bathroom.

I reluctantly drag myself out of my bathtub, clean myself with the softest towel on earth. Then proceed to get dressed.

I open my bag and instantly regret my choice of clothes. I should have bought new clothes. I thought to myself.

Sighing, I decided to settle for a short midnight black gown with flappy edges.It was the best I could right now.

I match the gown with some black high heel boots and a necklace. Looking at myself in the mirror. I felt kinda proud, even with my little resources I was still able to look good.

The gown and boots worked with my fiery red hair and hazel eyes. I put on a little makeup just for the fun of it and curled my hair. l looked at myself in the mirror and I could just burst with pride. I feel so happy with myself.

I decide to go check on my friends.

I leave my room and I could only wonder how grand this mansion. Who would believe that I am still in our room. There Is a sitting room, a kitchen and a bar, all in one room.

Oh. Did I forget to tell you that we all have our separate bedrooms. All in one room, damn! and this is just like a quarter of the house. Am not even sure it's up to a quarter.

After staring at the suite for more than an hour I decide to actually check on my friends this time.

I enter Hailey's bedroom first and see her still fast asleep.

" Hails wake the hell up would you. It already morning. Are you gonna sleep all morning?" I ask throwing her duvet back.

"Leave me alone." Hailey groans obviously not ready to get up anytime soon. "Let me enjoy this soft heaven some more." She groans sleepily, referring to the bed, making me chuckle.

"Hailey get up." I whined. "You wouldn't want him seeing you like this, would you?" I ask, knowing that will definitely get her up. Hailey hates looking unpresentable especially in front of strangers.

After awhile. Hailey let out a loud groan, sitting up.

"Fine am awake, happy now?" She looks at me irritatingly.

I pretend to think for sometime before replying. " Kinda but not quite. You still need to take a shower, you stink." I cover my nose pretending to smell something bad, making Hailey throw a pillow at me.

"Annoying bitch." She cuss.

"You love me." I say before letting out a loud laugh and running out of her room.

I go to check on Ryan next but he was already in the shower, so I quietly leave his room.

As I was about entering my bedroom. A knock comes from the suite's main door. I open it to see Kayden standing there. Speak of the devil and he appears.

"Hey Kayden." I greet him with a smile.

"Ari, good morning." Kayden replies matching my smile. " I just wanted to check if you guys are ready for the tour." He say looking around.

Yeah we are almost done. Hailey and Ryan would be here any minute." I assure him.

"So would you like some juice." I ask

him.

"Um, I would prefer coffee instead. That's if you don't mind." He adds quickly, not wanting to offend me.

I quickly wave my hand dismissively. " Of course I don't mind. One cup of coffee coming right up." I say making him laugh before going to the kitchen like space.

"Did you enjoy your first night here? Kayden suddenly asks.

Sure. The bed is definitely worth the trip. I say, making Kayden laugh.

I quickly take the coffee to him."Here you go. One cup of hot coffee." I put the coffee in front of him. He just chuckle and takes the coffee.

"Thank you." He said, with a smile.

"You are welcome." I reply him. Seeing this as my opportunity to pry I decide to take it.

"So, Kayden what can you tell me about those important people who are allowed to meet with the king. I bet they must be really proud uh." I say jokingly.

" Well some are, but others are really friendly and understanding." Kayden says.

"Hm, that's good, but come to think of it why so private. Why can only a few people get to the supreme. I thought we were all his subjects." I say pretending to feel offended.

Kayden shrugs. " I guess there is a good reason for it." He takes a sip of his coffee.

Assuming he doesn't know the reason. I move on to the next topic. "So these special people. I air quote. "I bet they are really private huh." I chuckle pretending not to take the conversation seriously.

"Not really." Kayden replies. "I even know some of them by name." He tells me.

Now this peeked my interest. If I could find out their names and rank I would know who to look for. I think to myself.

"Really, Like who?" I ask.

"Well, De......"

Hailey comes out." Okay am ready." Hailey says interrupting what Kayden was about to reveal to me.

I groan quietly, quickly curbing my anger. I sigh.

"Who is ready for the grand tour? I am." Hailey twirls excited.

Kayden laughs standing up. I force a smile also standing up.

"Okay am also ready." Ryan comes out.

"Well then since everybody is done.Shall we?" Kayden asks.

"Yes we shall." Hailey said, going out the door which Kayden was holding open for us.

He hand us over to a stunning woman in formal wear and high heels that clicked as she walked.

She showed us the garden, the art rooms, the libraries and so many other places. To say this castle is huge would be an understatement.

"And this is the west wing. It belongs only to the Supreme. No one is allowed inside without his permission." She firmly states before gesturing us forward.

She shows us the east wing which belong to the king's personal audience and we were also forbidden from going there.

After a grand tour she takes us back to our wing. The south wing for visitors and bid us good night before walking off.

Just as we were about entering the elevator I see the vampire I stabbed but just for a fleeting moment, before I could be sure he was gone.

Shocked and scared I decide to act normal. I make a mental note at the back of my mind to talk to Kayden tomorrow. I need an audience with the king and I need to know who to go through.
