Chapter 2 Your Medicine

939 Words
Craig was still standing at the bathroom door, scanning her sharply. Seeing her still sitting on the bed in a daze, he narrowed his eyes with some displeasure and walked over. "What are you staring at?" He didn't like wearing a bathrobe, and it was always Raina who wiped him down. "Nothing." Raina finally snapped out of her thoughts and quickly got out of bed. She grabbed a towel to dry his body and then went into the walk-in closet to select a matching suit for him. She attentively helped him dress, just as she did every time before. While she buttoned his shirt, Craig gripped her delicate hands. Craig stared at her, his deep amber eyes filled with desire. "Daydreaming twice this morning. Is it because you're unsatisfied or reminiscing? Do you want more?" His teasing words made Raina feel even more uneasy. She slightly turned her head away. Avoiding Craig's gaze, she asked softly, "Just now, I saw a message from your mom. Are you... engaged?" The smile on Craig's face vanished instantly, and his face grew stern. "You snooped on my phone." It wasn't a question but a statement. Raina's face turned pale, but she didn't defend herself. Craig took the belt from her hands and fastened it himself. He calmly said, "Since you already know, I do not need to inform you now. In two months, our agreement will expire. But starting tomorrow, I won't be coming here anymore." 'Our agreement will expire, and he won't come here anymore.' Raina froze instantly, feeling like her blood was flowing backward. Her whole body felt cold, even her fingers. Their intimacy from last night and this morning was still fresh in her mind, but it turned out to be the last touch of tenderness he could give her. This hurt feeling had been slowly growing, and only now did she realize it. 'All these years, what had I been wasting my time on? He could wound me so deeply.' Raina composed herself. She swallowed back the lump in her throat and said, "If that's the case, Mr. Jenson, there's no need to wait two months. I want to end the agreement now." 'I absolutely wouldn't be anyone's mistress, not even for the last two months! This is my final boundary.' Raina had always been gentle in front of Craig, just as her name suggested. She was even softer and sweeter in bed, but this was the first time she had shown such resolve in front of him. Craig frowned, pinching her chin and speaking firmly, "Do you even know what you're saying? If you're the one breaking the agreement, according to the terms, you won't get a single penny." 'She loved money so much. How could she possibly want to break the agreement?' Raina met his gaze, her blue, beautiful eyes unusually determined. "I'm serious. Mr. Jenson, you are getting engaged, so I do not need to stay celibate for the next two months, right? I'd like to find a boyfriend too. Or maybe find a new sugar daddy. Perhaps I could even make more money." Craig's eyes darkened, and his expression grew cold. He gripped her waist tightly, and her waist was so soft it seemed like it could snap with a little force. "Fine, I'll grant your wish. But you'll need to pay some interest." As he finished speaking, he leaned in and pinned her down again. ***** Raina opened her eyes, exhausted, feeling like she was about to fall apart. From last night until this morning, Craig had taken her three times, but she was still okay, not as uncomfortable as that one particularly rough time before. Her belly didn't feel any discomfort for now, so she rubbed her waist, which was a little sore. Actually, her eyes were also a bit sore, but she was lying down, staring at the ceiling, lost in thought. Meanwhile, Craig was sitting by the bed, calmly buttoning his shirt. He looked very cold. "Remember to take your medicine." She knew he didn't love her, only wanted s*x, which had to be trouble-free, without any burdens, like an unexpected pregnancy. Craig put on his suit jacket and suddenly remembered something. "You said you had something to tell me. What was it?" Raina propped herself up and sat on the bed, pulling the quilt up to cover the deep red hickey on her collarbone. "Nothing. I wasn't feeling well, so I went to the hospital a few days ago and got some medicine." Craig didn't ask further. "Alright, take your medicine, then I'll leave." That medicine wasn't referring to stomach medicine. Raina knew exactly what he meant. She reached over to the bedside table, took out the birth control pills from her bag, and was about to take one when the pregnancy test report accidentally slipped out. The report fell to the floor right in front of Craig. Craig instinctively picked it up. Raina quickly jumped out of bed barefooted, hurriedly blocking Craig's view. She snatched up the report and crumpled it into a ball. 'That was close! I almost got caught!' Her heart was pounding wildly. Her reaction was so intense that Craig couldn't help but frown. "What is that?" "It's my... my gastroscopy report." "Let me see." Raina clutched the pregnancy test report, standing with her back to him, frozen. Deep down, she wanted to keep this baby, but she didn't dare to gamble on Craig's reaction... Craig's frown deepened, and his tone grew firmer. "Give it to me." Summoning her courage, Raina tore the pregnancy test report into pieces and threw it into the trash can.
