Raina grimaced in pain, tears welling up in her eyes.
Her expression was so pitiful, as if she had suffered the greatest injustice, and her voice was weak and plaintive.
Yet Craig's stern face showed no sign of pity. Instead, he sneered. "Is this your so-called pride? Pathetic."
Knowing when to surrender was a virtue. She pouted. "My pride got lost. I'll find it tomorrow."
Craig was amused by her response.
The anger in his heart subsided a bit. He released her hands but then lifted her chin, his deep gaze focusing on her full, luscious lips.
"I think your mouth needs more discipline than your hand."
Without giving her a chance to refuse, he kissed her lips forcefully, domineering and overwhelming.
His kisses were always like this, never gentle, always domineering.
The strong scent of tobacco filled her nose, and Raina suddenly felt her stomach churn. Before she could stop herself, she let out a gagging sound.
Craig pulled back, his teeth gritted as he glared at her. "Are you serious?"
'No!' She wanted to explain that it wasn't because of him, just a bout of morning sickness.
But she couldn't say that, or things would get even worse.
Raina covered her mouth, turned away, and shook her head.
She tried to show it wasn't the case.
He grabbed her chin again, seeming to think her shaking head was a poor attempt at hiding the truth. "Who do you want kissing you then? Mon? Or one of those guys from the dating show?"
Raina remained silent.
She wasn't that desperate.
Fearing he would catch on, Raina had no choice but to lie, "No, I just..."
"Just what?"
"I'm just really hungry, so hungry that I feel nauseous. You know I have stomach problems. Before I got your message, I was about to make myself a snack."
It was a solid excuse, and it worked perfectly.
Craig didn't doubt her, but suddenly, he wrapped an arm around her waist, lifted her, and placed her on his lap.
"Mr. Jenson!"
The suggestive position made her nervous, and she had a pretty good idea of what Craig planned to do.
Panic set in.
She hurriedly said, "Mr. Jenson, you're engaged now, and there's nothing between us anymore. You can't do this to me anymore!"
Craig traced her back through the thin fabric of her cotton nightgown, lingering at the clasp of her bra.
He found the clasp immediately and unhooked it, even through the nightgown.
"Did you not read the fine print in that termination agreement, hmm?"
She was stunned.
'Is there some hidden clause in the agreement?'
"If you do anything inappropriate during the agreement period, you're at my mercy," Craig said with a teasing smile.
His deep, dark eyes gleamed with a desire that reminded her of a wolf ready to devour its prey. "Use your body or keep your hands, your choice."
It was clear he wouldn't stop until he had his way with her. He was truly ruthless.
She had seen how vicious and relentless he could be when enraged.
They once had s*x for an entire day and night without rest. Afterward, she was covered in bruises and had to get stitches at the hospital. It took over half a month for her to recover.
In her current state, there was no way she could endure his most brutal treatment.
'What should I do now...'
When she didn't respond, Craig made the decision for her.
"If you don't speak, I'll make the choice."
Craig firmly gripped the back of her head, pushing her down onto the car seat.
He showered her with kisses, relentless as a storm, leaving her no room to breathe.
The scent of tobacco and the heady scent of his pheromones engulfed her.
The nausea in her stomach intensified, churning violently.
Raina felt like she was about to explode.
In the midst of the rising tension, she suddenly sounded, "Blegh!"
The car was filled with the sound of her retching immediately. "Mr. Jenson... Ugh! I'm too hungry, ugh! Stomach acid... Ugh! I'm going to throw up..."
It wasn't an act. She was dry-heaving so hard that her face turned pale.
She hadn't expected her morning sickness to be this severe.
Craig released her waist, his face darkening as if merging with the night, clearly displeased.
"I'm sorry. I really... ugh! Maybe next time!"
She hurriedly opened the car door, leaning against a tree on the side of the road as she continued to retch with the effort.
Craig rolled down the window, watching her by the tree. The streetlight cast shadows over his long eyelashes, making his eyes unreadable.
The morning sickness was too intense.
Raina vomited until she was dehydrated and exhausted, her body swaying uncontrollably. But the next moment, a hand rested on her shoulder, steadying her.
He then offered her a bottle of water.
"Thank you."
She didn't hesitate, opening the bottle to rinse her mouth before taking a few sips, which seemed to ease her stomach.
Craig held her shoulder, standing patiently beside her, waiting.
She could feel Craig's piercing gaze on her, and she looked down even further, feeling guilty.
'If Craig knew I wasn't vomiting from hunger but from morning sickness, would he regret giving me the water? After all, he didn't like kids at all...'
As she thought about it, her body was suddenly lifted off the ground.
"What are you doing?!"
Craig scooped her up!
'No way! Is he really going to bang me even after I am feeling this sick?'
With her mind in turmoil, Craig placed her back in the car. His face was grim, and his tone was still cold, but he gave the order to the driver. "Lance, take us to a restaurant."
