Chapter Nine: Edd's POV

"Kevin?? Did...did you just ask me out??" His words ring in my head as I try to make sense of what he just said to me. Me sexy? I just don't understand this. I need to go home and think this over.

"I, uh, yeah I guess so. But nobody can know. Got it Dork?" Oh boy. What do I do? Kevin just asked me out. The same person that has bullied me since I've moved to Cul-de-Sac over fourteen years ago. And for twelve years I've hid the fact that I have a crush on Kevin Burns. I hid the fact that I was even gay until I finished high school.

Oh boy. Do I say yes or pretend that I am not interested? I have not given this any thought before now. I glance at Kevin to see that he is still waiting for a response from me. "I do not know what to say Kevin. This is truly a surprise to me. I am speechless." His light green eyes are staring right at me. Oh this is very nerve wrecking.

"Yeah well it's a surprise to me too Dork. I just have to know one thing though." I swallow in anticipation of what he's going to say next. I am still shocked that he asked me out.
