Chapter Thirty-Six
“Good afternoon Mr. Burns and Mr. Vincent. I understand that you are here to adopt...two children today?? Are you looking for two girls, two boys, or one each??” Mrs. Winchester, the director, looks up from her folder as she patiently waits for either Kevin or Double D to answer. Kevin looks at Double D then at the little boy and girl outside of the office. They are still sitting in the corner away from the other children. Kevin feels his heart break at the sight and knows right away that he doesn't want anything to ever happen to them. Double D follows Kevin's line of sight and rests on the twins.
