Rose's POV
I sat down on the desk and tossed my bag on the desk.
"Hello again," Ava said while giving me a smile. She's pretty, her eyes are a lighter shade of green than Elliots and she had brunette hair which seemed soft like cotton. I had the urge to pull her hair because of how soft it was. My hair is soft but at the same time it is rough because I dyed it. She wore a white dress which complimented her skin.
"Hi," I said and returned the smile. I'd say that we could be friends. but wouldn't it be weird to be friends with your crush's girlfriend. Ava pulled her notebook out of her backpack and placed it in front of her with a pen.
She looked at us and asked, "What days work for you all?"
I finally had the courage to look at Elliot only to find him not looking at me. He was staring at his girlfriend, I held onto the pencil tightly ready to stab someone. Control yourself Rose even if you don't know what that is.
"Monday's seem good," Elliot said. Ty and Ava nodded agreeing but I knew that I couldn't.
"I can't come that day," I said and Ty and Ava both looked at me. And Elliot was writing down something in his journal.
"Well, how about Tuesday?" I suggested. I knew that they couldn't do Tuesday but I'm free on Tuesdays.
"They can't have it on Tuesdays and Thursdays because both Ty and Elliot have swim practice," Ava said. I nodded understanding but I couldn't go. For some reason I wanted to have his attention on me.
"I understand but I'm busy Monday's, Wednesday's, and Fridays," I said. Elliot finally looked at me which instantly warmed my heart up.
"You are going to have to compromise with us because we have to meet twice a week," Elliot said while looking at me. I've never seen Elliot angry before and I wanted to see some kind of reaction from him. He unbuttoned his cuffs and the sleeves up making him ten times more attractive. If you keep doing this Elliot one, it will make it harder for me to forget you and two I will jump you.
"How about the weekends?" Ty suggested. I could do the weekends but I had practice at night but just to test him I decided to say, "I can't do the weekends either." A little smile made its way on my face and I watched Elliot's reaction.
"Why what are you going to do?" Ty asked. My smile brightened when I said,
"I have to do the dishes." I was just messing around with them but I did actually have to do something. I have ice skating practice five times a week. Elliot grabbed the water bottle in front of him and drank from it. Come on man, give me a reaction and I'll leave you alone.
This explains why I don't have many friends but that's okay. I'm used to it.
"Are you acting like this because of what happened in the hallway? Elliot told me about it," Ava said and I forced out a bitter smile, oh god, well this is embarressing. Ty shuffled closer from his desk and asked, "What happened? Tell me." The smile on his face widened as he looked at me and then at Elliot.
The boy looked up at Ty and and said, "I don't think we shou-" Elliot said but Ava cut him off.
"I don't think she'll mind...right? I mean we are friends, right?" Ava asked while looking at me and I forced her to keep the smile on my face.
"See she doesn't mind, she confessed to Elliot. I mean I don't blame her because we don't tell a lot of people about our relationship, we are five years and strong," Ava said loudly and Ty's eyes widened in shock. A couple of students turned around and were listening to our conversation. Soon the whole class was silent and were paying attention to us. Nice my ass, I take that back. I let out a small laugh and said, "I don't like him, it was all just a cover up." I looked at Elliot confidently and Ava laughed.
"It's okay to be embarrassed, no need to lie," Ava said and I smirked. I looked at Ava and asked, "What makes you think I like Elliot for the matter of fact boys in general?" Ava laughed again but I shifted myself in the seat and put my serious face on. I sat up straight and she stopped laughing when she realized that I was serious.
Before she could say anything I continued, "Who said I wasn't getting close to him because of you. My friends told me that you were into girls, and the only way to talk to you was through Elliot. They said it's not easy talking to you because you don't talk to anyone that easily," I explained. Although, I'm lying, it's better than what she was about to do. Her being nice is a facade. She let out a nervous laugh and scratched the back of her neck awkwardly.
"You must be lying, you can't b-" I raised my eyebrows and cut her off.
"It's the twenty-first century and why can't I?" I asked her. I am one good liar and I'm pissed right now. One thing I hate the most is people embarrassing me.
"I-" Elliot stopped her by grabbing her hand and interlocking it with his and whispered something against her ear. A pang of jealousy hit my chest but I ignored it and looked at Elliot. He told the people around us to go back to work and that there was nothing to see here. From my peripheral vision I could see Ava glaring at me which seemed to catch Elliot's attention.
I laughed and said, "I must say Elliot you are one fine guy." He stopped comforting her with his words and looked at me and I winked at him. I made sure to say it loud enough so that the people that were eavesdropping could hear it. She wanted to embarrass me, well she thought. I believe I made it worse because Ava was red, bright red. She held her pencil tightly and glared at me. Ty covered his mouth trying not to laugh.
"I haven't done it three way before, if you two are interested then." Ava broke her pencil into two pieces and I raised my eyebrows at her. I moved closer to her and she instantly moved back, making me laugh. I moved back on the chair, making myself comfortable, and laughed. Ty burst out laughing
"Everyone get back to work," Mr. Romano said. The people that were listening were not minding their own business. I never truly cared what people thought about me but I didn't want to be the talk of the show either. I could've avoided this in a different way but I can't regret this now.
"Anyways, I'm messing with you about the dishes thing, but I have practice. Being the captain for a team doesn't help at all so I don't have time at all. I can drop by for a while but then I'll have to leave," I said seriously. I checked the time on my watch and sighed. Why isn't this class ending?
"Which team?" Ty asked. I looked at him to find out that he was wearing a white buttoned up shirt. The two buttons were unbuttened just like Elliot's. He had brown hair which matched his dark skin and was also the captain of the swimming team.
They both had similar personalities, respected everyone, and had good grades. Ty was a little bit more built and was the captain of the basketball team as well. They all had good grades, while I had okay grades. I mean, I try my best and study, which I think matters. Just when I was about to answer the teacher cursed which got my attention because he rarely curses.
"I can't find my goddamn glasses, looks like we can't have class today," Mr. Romano said. I opened my bag and put the glasses on that he was looking for.
"Wow, I can block people out if I wear these glasses. I shall wear these every single day so I won't have to see you, Mr. Romano. What is your prescription by the way it looks like it's really bad," I said while squinting through the glasses. I pulled the glasses off of my face because it gave me a slight headache. I shouldn't have worn the glasses. I looked up to find Mr. Romano infuriated. I gave him a small smile.
"Why are you so mad? If you keep glaring at me like that then your head will explode, but if that happens you won't have to find your glasses then. I'm quite smart, aren't I?" I asked him, and he rolled his eyes at me, rude.
"Give them back, Rose." Mr. Romano asked while sighing, making me laugh.
"Why?" I asked genuinely. I'm such an ass. I sat back against my seat and played with the glasses.
"Because I'm blind and I can't see," he said.
I nodded understanding, "I get it, you must be struggling a lot sir." I could tell that Uncle Julio is trying so hard to keep his anger in. A couple of students laughed at my comment. I just wanted to help him by showing him the different types of students he'll have when he teaches. He should appreciate my help even though he didn't ask for it.
"Come on, Uncle Julio don't be angry," I said and instantly regretted it because I didn't want anyone to know that he was my uncle. But then again, if my classmates found out later on then they'd think that I was trying to hide it from them. A couple of students turned around and looked at me, and I mentally sighed because I specifically told Uncle Julio not to tell anyone that he's my uncle.
"You did this all by yourself," he said while laughing. I rolled my eyes at him and said, "Continue." With that I gave him the glasses and stayed quiet for the rest of the class so I tried to. I grabbed my earbuds and shoved them in my ear.
Throughout the class I felt as if someone was staring at me the entire time. Like the dumb person I am, I turned around to see who it is. It was no other than Elliot staring right at me, he quickly diverted his attention elsewhere.
I turned back in my seat and smiled to myself.
