Niandra’s Pov Episode 2 Wow! How fast do arrangements ensue around here? I asked myself as I stared at my uncle and everyone in the parlor in bewilderment and it dawned on me that they might have started planning all this for a long time. Fear gripped me as I wondered the eternal s*****y that they had roped me into and the more I thought about it, the more unsettling it was as cold chills ran down my spine. “You should be happy, little girl. My son would treat you like a princess.” The so-called Beta Andrew said, shooting me a wide smile as he showed off his set of brown decaying teeth that could make me throw up everything I've eaten in 2 days. If only they would have just a little sympathy and shut their darned mouth then everything would be fine, or would it? My thinking wasn't flowing in the right direction anymore as I wondered how hard it would be for me trying to adapt in a new environment as a s*x slave, of everything a s*x slave! That only made the tremors in my body hit like tidal waves and I shuddered visibly but I couldn't fail to realize that even when I shifted to my human form, I still had my clothes on. I was still reminiscing as tears streamed down my face while I sprawled on the bare ground glaring at my uncle as he had a proud smile on his face. An accomplished one at that. “You would cease to insult us in front of our guest!” Tenila’s mum yelled as she stomped over to where I sprawled and pulled me up by my hair, dragging me to my room and I winced in pain. “Prepare your things, you'd be leaving in the next 3 hours.” She announced and my jaw dropped as my mouth fell open in surprise. Just 3 hours to pack my things and say goodbye. I was supposed to be happy considering the way my uncle and his family treated me but then, I had a feeling that wherever they were selling me off was going to be a much worse place and I wasn't mentally prepared for an increase in punishment. I had to do something and I had to do it quickly, they had left me in my room to pack up my stuff and this was the only opportunity I had to make a decision that would influence my life for the first time in a while, staring at the window, an idea suddenly popped into my mind. Picking up a back strapped back, I put on some of my clothes and heaving a deep sigh of determination, I let myself down the window. Running away when no one was expecting was practically the best idea I have had in a while but as I ran into the forest, something was totally off. The howls in the shadows kept me in a state of both confusion and fear as I couldn't interpret the animal that produces such a howling sound. It certainly wasn't a wolf. I needed to focus on how to escape effortlessly but it seems the sound keeps distracting me by implanting fear in me. At some point I felt like it was there for only one purpose and that's me! I noticed that I didn't have enough time to deliberate on whatever that thing was so I had to let go and continue my run, I had this strong instinct that I would escape successfully. Where do I have in mind to go? No where! Absolutely nowhere because I had no connections with the neighboring packs but then I still had to escape to save myself. I had gone so far and with my observations, I knew fully well that I was about to cross the border but that would only happen successfully if I am able to fight off the rogues that reside there. "Look what we have here, A spicy delicious meal." He uttered with a sly smug smile on his face and hunger visible in his eyes as he licked his lips like he was savoring a delicious meal. “Who did he just call a meal? And what part of my body is spicy?” I questioned my inner self because whatever he said just registered in my brain. In no time more rouges surrounded me leaving me to think of a way to escape again, from them this time though. But before I could proceed with more deliberation on escape routes, I saw our pack warriors. It immediately registered to me that my uncle must have gone to the pack house to complain to the Alpha and now the pack warriors were sent to come look for me. I just surrendered because at this point, it was as clear as crystal that I can't do anything. "Your disobedience would bring your doom someday, Niandra!" I heard a very familiar voice say and immediately I recognized it was my uncle. Selfish fool! “I know you despise me but at least, show my name a little respect.” I scoffed, clicking my tongue. At this point, I didn't want to culture my mouth on how I spoke to them, I was going to get punished for exiting the pack either way. There was no point in showing him the respect that he didn't deserve. He was the least person I expected to see here but now he's here. What even hurt the most was the fact that my uncle, My cousin and my aunty were all present and even joined in jeering at me. I'm sure if Tenila ever made such a decision, they would sort it out before even a fly hears of it. As I stared up to look at them, they all looked away and then they were all bowing their heads almost immediately. I stared around and when my eyes caught sight of our pack Alpha—Alpha Amos— I knew for sure that I was doomed. "How ridiculous it sounds to know that you fled the pack just because you were sent to run some errands. If I hadn't heard from Beta Draco, I would have doubted…” Alpha Amos was saying but then trailed off like something had just dawned on him. The expression on his face was like one that regretted something and for a second, I thought maybe he regretted trying to judge me. My uncle must have lied to them and that only made my hate for them due all the more. Of course, they would never tell the public that they tried to sell me off against my will? That was prohibited in our pack and if the Alpha caught wind of it, he was surely going to give my uncle and his family the punishment they deserved. It would feel good to expose them but then, they were my family regardless. As I tried looking at the Alpha in the eye, something shifted inside of me; something foreign. "There's no way." I heard Alpha Amos mutter through gritted teeth and the death glare he was throwing my way was giving me the chills. His eyes darkened with anger as he shot me a hard glower that sent shivers all the way from my spine; down to my knees. "My Lord, are you alright?" One of the guards closest to him questioned but received a death glare. "You can't be my mate." Alpha Amos vehemently refused the truth that laid itself bare to him and I was finally able to understand the foreign feeling inside of me. The type that felt like I had a whole bunch of butterflies in my belly. Finally, after all these years; after all the nights of waiting, I've finally met my mate. Though the gaze in his eyes consisted of something I couldn't quite fathom, I hoped that he would accept me. Accepting me would mean the end of all my evil and distasteful plights and the opening of a new era to me. "You- what's your name again?" Alpha Amos queried and only the sound of his voice made my wolf —which I didn't realize I had not until a few hours ago—dance in excitement. “Niandra. My name is Niandra." I answered with quivering lips as a sudden rush of excitement flooded me at the realization that he was about declaring me as his mate right in front of everyone. Right in front of my uncle and relatives... How bleak is that? “Niandra." He repeated with his deep and husky voice that was definitely going to make some girl's underwear slide down their waist on their own accord. "I, Alpha Amos of Black Alder, reject you; Niandra as my fated mate therefore I sever all ties with you. " He stated in a loud voice and the pain immediately hit me, crumbling and shattering my heart in pieces.
