6. The next day.

Eli’s pov: The next morning I was awoken by the squeaky sound of the door opening. Matt’s head peeking in before opening the door fully. He walked over to my side of the bed. “I’m sorry to wake you and your bunny, but I just wanted to ask if she’ll be joining us for breakfast?” He said, nodding toward the other side of the bed. Where a beautiful girl was sleeping with the covers only covering up to her waist, showing her naked back. “I don’t know, she might” I said as I pulled the covers over her. “Alright I’ll count her in.” Matt said before turning around. I could hear his footsteps down the stairs. Matt was sort of the mother of the house. His cooking was probably the best I had ever had. We had throughout the time we've been living together, established some rules in the house. Matt had made the rule that everyone in this house would eat breakfast and dinner every day. Because as he always said: You can’t think well, train well, love well or sleep well, if you haven’t dined well. Penelope’s pov: I woke up practically naked in someone else’s bed, and I couldn’t remember how I got here. When I turned over I saw a beautiful pair of brown eyes looking at me. I could probably recognise that face anywhere. I was in Elias Kingley’s bed! The last thing I remember was Eli telling Logan to leave me alone, how did I end up in his bed, naked? “What happened last night?” I whispered, feeling embarrassed that I had to ask. “Did we, you know, did we do anything?” I could feel tears pressing on, I almost didn’t want to hear the answer. I really hoped I hadn’t lost my virginity in a drunken bender. “No, nothing happened” he whispered softly, he then gently brushed a strand of my hair behind my ear. I shivered as his fingers touched my skin. “Okay, then why am I naked?” He chuckled as he turned to lie on his back. “You passed out in my arms, so I carried you up here. You woke up, dropped your clothes and crawled under the covers” I couldn’t help but admire him as he talked, the way his jaw moved, his smile when he looked down at me. “Oh, okay. I can’t believe I did that.” “I offered you a shirt to sleep in, but you were fast asleep as soon as your head hit the pillow.” He continued as he got up and got dressed. “If you want me to, I can drive you home.” “Yea, thank you.” I wondered why he was so nice to me. Was this all a joke? Did he lie about not doing it. No, he couldn’t have. Wouldn’t I be able to feel it, feel different? I felt embarrassed, but no pain. I tugged the covers closer around my body as I looked around for my clothes. My dress, jacket and boots was scattered around on the floor. “Could you maybe give me my dress?” “Why? Getting shy on me now, sleepyhead?” He chuckled as he picked up the small piece of fabric and tossed it to me. “Yeah I’m no longer fuelled by liquid courage and feeling quite embarrassed to be honest.” I pulled it over my head and got out of bed to put on my boots. When I was looking somewhat decent, he led me downstairs. When we came to the kitchen Eli put a warm hand on the small of my back. Gently pushing me into the room. “Matt made breakfast if you’re hungry. You should probably eat something before we go.” He whispered into my ear. He then pulled out a chair and gestured for me to sit. “Thank you” I croak out as he takes the seat on my left. After eating the delicious food, Matt took our plates and refused to let me help him. Eli grabbed my hand and led me out to his car, where he opened the passenger door for me. Such a gentleman. We drove in silence, after he had asked for my address. When he pulled up to my apartment building he quickly went out and opened the door for me again. “I'll walk you up. You know, make sure you get home safely.” he winked, playing it cool. Before I could pull out my key when we got to my apartment, the door was pulled open. “Where have you been! And why are you not answering your phone?! I've been worried sick..” She stopped mid-sentence when her eyes landed on Eli standing beside me. “Sorry, Mel. I think it's dead. Eli drove me home.” I said gesturing to the handsome man beside me. I turned towards him. “Thank you for driving me, and for being so nice to me,” I said and reached up and kissed his cheek. He was so talk I had to stand on my toes to reach. “You’re welcome, sweetheart.” He smiled softly. Then I turned and went inside with Melanie.
