5. The party.

694 Words
When we got to the party, people were already pretty drunk. The house was packed with people and the music was loud. We had to push our way through the crowd to get to the kitchen. “Want a beer?” Melanie asked looking over her shoulder as she led me through the door to the kitchen. “No” I shouted back, “you know I hate beer.” She looked at me with a smile as she found a bottle of liquor and two paper cups. “I know, so we’re doing shots” she laughed pouring the liquor into the cups. I took one, throwing my head back as I drank it all. I felt it burning it’s way through my throat, making me cough a little. “Come on let’s dance!” Melanie yelled after she drank hers. She dragged me into the crowd of dancing students. We accidentally bumped into a couple that were too occupied with each other’s mouths to even notice. I could feel the alcohol doing its job, as we danced to the music. After way too many drinks, I found myself losing all inhibitions. Normally I’m a bit shy, I keep mostly to myself reading or studying. That wasn’t me tonight, no tonight I had the liquid courage. I felt the room starting to spin, so I dropped down on a couch in the living room. A guy sat down beside me, looking me up and down. My dress had slipped up a little when I sat down. When I realised, I quickly tugged at the hem, covering my thighs again. Then the guy leaned over and laid an arm around my shoulder, whispering in my ear. “Do you want to go to my room, maybe have a private party?” I could feel his breath on my neck. I looked around trying to spot my friend, she must’ve stepped out or went into the kitchen again. “No I’m not interested.” I said as I tried to get up. He grabbed my hand pulling me back down. “Oh come on, a pretty bunny like you. A handsome hockey guy like me. We could have some real fun together.” As I looked up at him I realised who it was. Logan West. He wasn’t only a hockey star, he was also a player. I had heard he only slept with girls once, and he’d slept with most girls on campus. At least that’s what Melanie said. He lived here with three of his teammates. As I looked around I realised two of the other residents sat in the other couch. One of them had a girl in his lap and the other was busy making out with a blonde girl. “I’m not a bunny whatever that is, and I’m still not interested.” I said trying to get up again, once more he pulled me back down. My head was starting to spin again. I felt dizzy and I just wanted to go home. He leaned closer, trying to kiss me. I put my hands on his chest pushing him. Only he didn’t budge at all. I pushed harder. I really didn’t want to kiss him. He still didn’t budge. So I pushed as hard as I could. To my surprise, he flew back. Only for me to realise that someone had grabbed his shirt and pulled him away from me. “Logan, leave her alone.” It was the team star. Elias Kingsley or Eli as he was mostly called. He was probably the hottest guy on campus. His muscular arms flexed as he pulled Logan back. Before I knew it Logan had left and Eli pulled me up from the couch. “Are you okay?” His voice rang in my ears. I nodded, and he let go of my hand. When he did, I felt dizzy again and I felt like I was falling. Which I must have, because I was now in Eli’s arms. He had caught me and was holding me up against his chest. “Thank you Eli” I muttered into his shirt.
