MAYA I shot him a tiny smile. "Then why don't you just give her a call, I think it would count if you at least hear her voice." He wriggled his head, moving his gaze away from mine. "I can't." He said. "It's complicated Maya." "I'm ready to listen if you want to talk about it." I whispered and he exhaled once again. "I've been thinking so hard about it today." He paused. "And I finally know why." Hie gaze returned to me. "Maybe it was the fact that she chose to watch my father break me and my dreams or perhaps because she wasn't really there when I needed her. But I do know one thing." He paused. "I hated the fact she let my father break the family, that she couldn't fight for her children at the crucial time." I gulped down my saliva feeling a faint pang sprout in my chest.
