Here I was standing in front of Claire's door. My heart was beating faster than usual, perhaps because it's been a long time since we saw each other. Or maybe it was because of my ulterior motives.
I exhaled and then I took the bold step knocking on her door. The next second barely came and Claire had already opened her door.
"Oh my gosh! Desmond!!" She screamed, immediately jumping on me. Almost squeezing the life out of me.
