"Won't you at least invite me in?"
My eyes widened for a split moment before reverting back to normal. Even though I was clearly at a disadvantage here, I wasn't going to show any signs of intimidation. I inhaled deeply before walking up to the door.
"Ana let me handle this." I said but she didn't move an inch. Even though she was also terrified in a way she maintained her ground regardless.
"Please…" I whispered, she stared at me for a long while before walking back inside.
"That was very thoughtful of you. I was beginning to feel very irritated by her presence." Mr. Crooks muttered.
"What do you want?" I asked in an icy tone.
"Why don't we discuss the issue inside, it's freezing."
"Well you better get to it because you're not stepping a foot into this apartment." I reto
